Bill , with the floor bracing I guess your not to concerned about the overall weight of the vehicle. Why not do some chromoly tubing and tig weld it. Seems that box tubing will make the truck a little heavy .
Do you have a overall weight goal in mind ?

Do you plan on using the CTS-V trans?

i used the box in the floor because when i install floor boards ill have a nice flat surface to plug weld to. i figure whats a little extra weight when when im sitting on it. im not as concerned about weight as much as i am rigidness. yes im using the trans but matching up that tail shaft has been a puzzle. no clue on the over all weight ,shes heavy ,when i boxed the frame w 1/8 steel i guess i threw the whole weight thing out the window. thanks bill

ps and for the tig welding, dont have one ,but id like to get one. guess im a little low tech.

The truck is looking great! I had no idea you could change the cab that much and still use the stock windshield, very cool. What will have to happen with the door glass?
I really like what you are doing with the interior too. What is that dash out of?

Door glass is flat in these trucks so that should be relatively easy vs. the rest of the worms that popped out of the can. I'm not much of a late model guy.... What's the dash been plucked from?

the dash is out of a caddy cts, i had to make it 6 in wider to make it fit the cab. now i can use the cts v cluster. im getting the bed fit up now but i didnt like how the wheel was centered in the wheel well so i cut the whole arch out & moved it forward 2in. thanks for checking in bill
