I am cool with what I got, but I would never put that kind of time and money into a Firebird again. You can see the value difference even when they are needing everything they bring half what a Camaro would.

It's not like it was something really oddball, it was a firebird!! I've crawled over and under it in person, and it is fantastic from end to end. Someone got a helluva deal, it couldn't be replicated for that.

Wasn't someone asking recently why so many people build camaros? Here was a reason.

You guys need DVR's. I would shoot myself if I watched live and couldn't click through the commericals.

Wow.....that's a crazy deal for that car. The flippin motor is 30k all by itself.:willy:

Got one. But it was live and I couldn't stand to walk away and come back later to watch.
It's all about instant gratification ya know?:willy:

I can't believe it sold for that!! You know you can watch it streaming live on the Barrett web site, no commercials.

That's cheap for sure.. hell, g-28 went for $29k and Franks car is 10 times nicer...

Some stuff going cheap.. some not. How about the black stock Nova for $120k the other day.. Red Witch did pretty good as well.

You would think these dumb asssss people would get a clue that its not by accident that year after year people loose there asssses on there pride and joy of a car by taking it to Barret Jackson. unless its a high end car with a huge pedigree or a 1 of 5 type of car the nomal bidders loose there assss and i dont feel sorry for them with no reserve on these cars. but thats just the way BJ does there event what a joke.

And as long as there is customers there will be the auctions. I don't understand why it works the way it does, but they make money hand over fist every year and keep increasing the auction locations every year too.
Maybe it is the thrill of the chase for some buyers, a quick sale for builders or collectors who want to get on to the next car...who knows.
