Agree Chad, I don't post many updates, but, when I do, it's nice to see that folks have taken the time to take a look, also, by some of the responses I get, will be introduced to other members with builds that I didn't know about.

What I can't stand is the "boast in every post" type of behavior.

I'm not trying to kiss anybody's hind-end, but this site is a great site that provides me with stress relief, knowledge, and input from fellow people who share the same passion for automobiles/muscle cars. I belong to several other forums that require background checks, employment verification, etc.(My line of work forums), and I have to say that considering this site is open to the public and pretty much anybody can get on here, the level of character and maturity meets and often exceeds a lot of forums available. It's people on here whom I've asked questions and they didn't hesitate to help me out by explaining something that I didn't completely understand without belittling me. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion and that's cool. Just remember, it doesn't cost anything extra to be nice.

I don’t post a whole lot here either, but IMO things like this are a natural part of interacting with others. Even though some people see it as distasteful, I feel it reveals issues in a raw and more informative way. How a company conducts itself is an important factor in my future decisions. I can also see if the customer is being reasonable/manipulative or not. Yes, it’s subjective and may not be entirely accurate but it’s not second hand information, and repeated incidents tend to tell a story over time and that helps me to make my own decisions. This site doesn’t gain readership through drama and I don’t think it ever would. With all due respect it's easy enough to move on to something you find more interesting, however if it's removed or not allowed, then I can't access it.

I would have reservations about this. I think it can work but I see a few issues that can develop. I’ve watched people’s personalities change when they begin to have input on a forum. Also, with more people involved, more agendas and leverage to gain influence can develop. If things aren’t working out, how do you thin the group without developing hard feelings? Maybe short term committees could be used to address certain issues, but a permanent sub forum can create a division of sorts especially if it’s not public and then others find out. Readership changes over time and people tend to come and go, however limiting influence to a smaller group can also be an issue if this is not recognized.

Overall, I feel that the more regular members can see and become involved in a forum the more they can feel that they are a part of it. Limiting membership input and/or censoring is something that has to be done, but IMO there is a balance that needs to be maintained to meet everyone's needs.
