I know it looks bad, but that rust is barely there. Scotch brute pads knock it right off. I could use some suggestions though bc I'm about to start soon.

What are your plans for the outside of car? I would maybe think about just media blasting the car inside and out then spray car with some SPI epoxy primer. Joe

As for the outside: strip the paint, prime, and paint. Media blasting is definitely an option. I have read all about it, but I have no experience with it. What type of media is best for paint and surface rust?

Lookin good. Man it must be humid there.

I us something called Damprid from walmart in the garage to absorb moisture. It comes in what looks like a gallon ice cream pail. Just remove the lid and place around the car. My car has been in bare metal for about 2 yrs and looks good.

I see your surface rust issue
When you get it removed.. im with Joe . media blasting would be great. then use Gibbs on the metal to keep it from happening if you cant paint it or dont want to right away.. Holohans hot rod shop ,Rad Rides and other pro builders use it AND SELL IT. If you contact Dan Holohan who is on this site he will sell it to you and explain it to you.. Dan is a great source of info.

Thanks everyone.

We have a lot of moisture down here. My plan is to media blast the car and prime everything when I'm finished with the metal work. Inside and out

Is anyone familiar with powder coating the entire shell? I have read a liitle about it.
