Absolutely CANNOT WAIT to get behind the wheel of this again. Still a ways to go but the light is at the end of the tunnel! Thank you for the kind words!

Did you decide wether you were doing side pipes or not? Personally I think the side pipes would look killer. :unibrow:

Thanks Gaetano! Have definitely decided to stick with side pipes. Now I need to decide whether to modify the side pipe headers I have now from an SBC to an LS flange and add O2 bungs or find someone to craft me new ones from scratch. Neither sounds like a cheap proposition so any recommendations would be much appreciated!

Not really much of a progress update but I did manage to get her up on a lift for the first time in her life:

Moved back to San Diego from London this weekend so plan on dropping in on the vette at the shop a little more frequently to see how things are going...

Next steps for me: measuring up the driveshaft and going through the entire suspension with it up on a lift rather than wedged underneath on my back.

Not going to lie, I forgot about this build. Worst part is I really dig this build. Hope things have been moving along through the last year.

It's only been a YEAR since the owner last posted ----- what's going to happen to that memory when you get old?!?!?!?!

I too had forgotten about it -- and really like it. So hopefully Eric will chime in here.

The build is NOT DEAD! Thank you for your patience. Unfortunately, until very recently, it might as well have been...

May 11th marked the passing of exactly three years since I dropped the body of the Vette off at the shop. Now, to be fair, during that time I lived in London for a while, travel like crazy for work, bought a house, had a bunch of other stuff going on, etc. On the other hand, there's been an agreed upon list of body work and other odd jobs in place since May 11th, 2011; of which I've still been waiting on completion of.

What makes this all the more frustrating is that I was able to strip the car twice, complete the chassis and most mechanical work over four months in a single car apartment garage.

Long story short, I've recently been able to re-inspire them to complete the task list on my vehicle. I've booked an appointment with a custom header guy who needs the car to complete the LS side pipe headers and am dragging the Vette out of there completed or not. Reviewed the remaining tasks, set up a timeline, and have been stopping by for progress reviews on a regular basis.

Continental drift aside, body shop got my bumpers / trim back from the de-chroming and satin powder coat. FINALLY starting to come together!

I was originally on the fence about spending all the $$$ for stripping the chrome and going PC but now that I see it definitely glad I did.

Will be stopping by the shop in person on Friday morning to get some further updated pics. Hope the front end will be completely reassembled and the car weatherstripped by then too! The work they have completed has been nothing short of excellent so I hope it continues that way.
