Thanks! Glad you got a good laugh. I have to as well. I know there is no such thing as a permanent or real budget.. LOL :lostmarbles: I went into it with a plan
and knew that it would get out of hand. Wich it has, and I can't wait to see how it turns out.

How in the world did I miss this one. I think the Chevelle guys need our own section.:secret:

I am loving this one. Looks like you are doing it right. I'll subscribe now....

Please keep the pictures coming.

As for the door locks? Not really sure, I like them both ways. I even thought I would install late model door handles on mine, but for the ease of getting it done, I will probably just keep them stock.

It's all good, I don't have much time to keep this thread exciting. The balancing act of family, work, etc. Takes up alot of time. I wouldn't be able to get the car done if it wasn't at a shop. I learned that lesson when I built the El Camino our son was about a year old when the paint went on, left very little time and less sleep to get the car done. Now our second little one will arrive in late Nov.

I am going to keep the locks, I also have a set of "Ring Brothers" handles that I am going to use.

I was going through your build as well. It is a great project. I like the fact that you have had yours for so long as well, got to spend time with your dad and kids. Great story!
Our son just turned 3 and he has to be part of anything I do. Even prepping for shows....

What a great looking kid. Raising him right already. I wish I was at this point.

Congrats on the Nov arrival. The second one brings a whole new level to parenting. It's awesome.

When mine were the ages of yours, I was building the HEEP. My son loves that thing. It will probably be the first ride for him.

Amazing how much time these things take. Keep working on this and keep updating.

I have been running like mad here lately. My wife and I are expecting our second little one in about 3 weeks, but we got a chance to get up north and check on the progress of the Chevelle.:excited: :excited:
I am very impressed with how it is coming along. I have given the owner some ideas and he has done a great job of listening and bringing this car to life. He has some serious talent. He has also been very on top of calling me or e-mailing me to bounce ideas or suggestions. He has kept progress photos coming as well, being 300 miles away those things are important. Several times I have called and he answers the phone or will call right back. I would recomend if your in the pacific north west area and looking for a shop, stop in and look around.
Now to some photos....

Wissing72 11-09-2013 01:44 PM
