Yeah -- I'm thinking 40 Ford fenders? What do you think? If I do the body black gloss and the fenders in flat gold leaf... it might make the car look.... Smaller? I dunno.

All steel -- American Speed '33. I love the way the drop top disappears.

Charley made me a deal - when I can run an entire weekend without spinning he'll have the Briz make me a custom console for the Mutt.

LOL, that was good.

Looks good Greg. What chassis is going under it?

The chassis is all custom Brizio. He has the side rails done the way he wants them for the stance of the car etc... then they jig 'em up and finish 'em.

I appreciate it Jay -- not sure who cuts the wheels but that choice has already been made.

Last night @ 9:34pm, I had post# 6, I signed on this morning only find this thread had ballooned by an additional 41 posts covering 5 pages!!! LMAO  :willy:  :willy:

Greg's threads are like a bunch of guys hanging around the beer fridge in the garage......lots of bench racing and one-upmanship

That's EXACTLY the way I think about this site... a bunch of guys hangin' in the shed all jumping each others shizz. Friendly honest banter. No flames. Just good fun. Glad you enjoy it as much as I do.

5".....dropped axle. The common drop on an I beam or tube axle is 4". A few years back Magnum came up with their 5" dropped axle to get an extra inch of cool. When you see enough axles the 5" really stands out but the dead give away is the lower shock mount/bung welded on.

If the pin drive knock offs are like Tom Gloys and you put skinny tires on it.......

Ah ha! When you said 5" axle -- I was thinking at the back of the car and couldn't for the life of me figure what that was! Yes 5" drop.

The car is Traditional WITH attitude. We'll see if we can pull it off.

You hit the pin drive right on the head. Just not doing the inside brake covers. Skinny bigs and littles... and a Tribute to an absolutely perfect wheel.

If you take Rodders Journal -- the front cover this issue has the paint nailed. 1940 Ford Washington blue - or PPG Barcelona Blue. We'll paint out a test and see.

This is the nicest man on the planet... he has a real shop with real hot rod builders... and the customers actually drive the crap out of their stuff... and I'd bet 90% of the clients in his shop are on their 2nd or 3rd Brizio build. Can't say that about the shameless shizzlebag that built the little red one.... The Briz was my first choice for the '32 -- I just got snookered into thinking he (the shameless shizzlebag) was a master builder -- but we found out he was just a little master baiter who's crew couldn't even make tail lights function. OMG -- the memories are all flooding back now. I mean -- what hot rodder runs a motor without oil? What hot rodder fixes the tail lights by painting the interior housing WHITE instead of just making sure the bulbs make contact? Who installs a rear end and has the coil overs hitting the chassis? Who puts a front end on and a rear end on and doesn't align it? I know who! But the Briz fixedededed all that.

Bahaha!

Lenie 01-12-2013 08:54 AM

Greg, all kidding aside I love your last two choices the 32/33. If it were me I'd go somewhere on the silver chart for the exterior and red, charcoal or black interior in that order. Good luck.

Come on man?! Maybe at least a cam so it sounds like a real hot rod?
