Just curious, those pics of all the salt on the car makes me cringe. How do they keep these cars from turing to a pile of rust after being on the salt?

I'm off the salt or I'd go get some more information. The flyer they gave says its a 598ci motor that made 1108hp at 7k rpm, that's before the procharger. The lady with the fingernails had said they are now north of 1600hp.

I'm not a motor guy at all but wouldn't you think a n.o.s. motor would be different than a blown motor? I doubt they just slapped on the procharger.

I'm glad I got to see the car up close after reading about it for so many years.
As far as the salt, if you don't clean it off it will definatly ruin the car. My dads studebaker after 3-4years is showing major signs of rust. A lot of the cars have finishes that protect against corrosion, that and they get blown apart and detailed once off the salt.

These guys are trying to hit the mark with just raw power, very little in the way of aero. At a certain speed you have to overcome the wall of air you're trying to push through. Add weight to keep traction or clean up the aero and add wings, sill plates, diffusers, spoilers. You'd be surprised how heavy some of the cars are.

Dan
