If you have easy access to tuning software and can add some wires to the EFI harness, use the ECM, PWM, and an AC pressure switch.

I prefer the third option and build my cars that way. Less modules and the function is already in the PCM.

This option is discussed in great detail here:

So........We did a lot of driving back and fort to the hydraulic hose shop......first to find the correct fittings.....(11/16-18 flared at the box and 16MM "O" ring on the pump) then fit the line and then Crimped....Got the pressure side installed then installed the reservoir and return lines.....added fluid and again......no leaks.....

Then I made a mount for the GM fuse panel and got it mounted...........then installed the modules.......the mess of wires is starting to disappear.....

Getting near the end.......Got all the Dakota Digital modules in and wired....the GM connect and cruise set-up takes about 30 minutes to hook up......LOL.....I have to install the dash assy and wire in the cooling fan relays and get the console and shifter installed......that's about it........Here's a video and it should be going for exhaust next week

Couldn't tell in the video, Ken - how many times did you pump it before turning the key?

Oh, I'm aware of that thread. I also have the software and I realize MOST people can't justify the price and learning curve. Long story short: Factory PCM's are easier, but it CAN be done on the connect and cruise PCM.
Thanks for the update on the Fusion fan controller. That is an excellent score. :)

I love your last comment in the video. Hahaha! That is why everything I own has that family of engine. :)

Got pretty much all the Dakota Digital inside wiring finished today.......The car had a 4 speed and console in it.....Prior to bringing it over Keith covered up the hole for the shifter and bought a Shiftworks cable operated shifter assy........so....It was time to get it installed, but......it seems there are some adjustments needed to get the neutral safety switch adjusted correctly.......I'll get that set tomorrow along with getting the Gas Pedal installed..........then one step back.....found a leaky fuel line fitting at the gas tank.......and the lower dash A/C vents don't fit the under dash mounts......need to call them tomorrow and get the correct parts.........Going for the exhaust next Monday..............

Ken, why do you have all four lock washers between the bracket and the shift base?
Besides, aren't lock washers a bit redundant with nylock nuts?

That's the way the instructions say to do it.......the star washers help keep the mounting pads in position.......
