Well after some reading I decided to take the head off and just have a machine shop fix me up. Read good things about Late Model Engines in Houston. Cool, no big deal getting the hole repaired. So I get the head off and see bunch of rust on the cylinder walls. Guessing hurricane Harvey waters sitting in the garage for a week got moisture in the motor through the exhaust ports, they just had rags stuffed in them. I've had enough of this for today lol. Time for a gun range trip to relax

Motor is a 70k mile LS2 from a 07 corvette

Cleaned on the motor today. Will do more once I start putting the top end back on

Just as a tip to help you prevent some flash rust in the cylinder by taking a clean rag and putting some Automatic Transmission Fluid on it and wipe down the cylinders liberally.
Build looks great! Hopefully, my car will be up and running in the next 5 months and we can get some cruising done! Gray |
