DAMN BJ nets a hell of a lot considering the price of the car. I am in the wrong biss.

Not only that, why aren't there more quality auctions (i mean by other folks)? I mean, someone with the cash (it costs considerable money to organise an event of that size) could surely do the same for 1/2 the asking costs...And still find good money in there.

No? Man i might be interested.....

I have a little trouble with guy's making money on other peoples back.(some is ok but woooo, they get 10k and the seller 47???? that does not sound right to me) Also, I mean, the job is the same wether the car is worth 500 or 5 millions. So its not really relevant the way its done, but again, who am i to tell them their wrong, it works!

Come on sheeps...Follow.

Lead.

(yeah, yeah...guess i only wish i was multimillionnaire too.... )

On selling Bob's 'Cuda BJ made $97,900 MINIMUM.. On selling the Shelby SuperSnake they made at least $901,600

And yes, we are in the wrong business...

$$$$

I would guess that attendance was down this year but they figured 225000 would visit the auction
Tickets were$25 to $55 on Saturday
figure $30 per person for tickets equals 6,750,000 in sales
A booth that is 10x30 was $7000 for the week
5000 bidders at $500 each equals 2,500,000
minimum of $1200 for car to be at autions times 1200 equals 1,440,000
and the big one 8% sellers and 10% buyers say on 100 mil equals $18,000,000
plus sponsorship money from Ford and GM and $$$'s from Speed to air it
That is $28,690,000 plus booths plus plus plus and Scottsdale and Westworld bought the tent for him for $4,000,000 so that he would stay in the city for tax revenues

Not a bad week of work!

Sold for $51,700

and BJ takes what 8-10% at least maybe more after all expenses.

You have to be kidding me. I looked that car over and it was pretty nice. That's a real shame. I don't think I would ever sell my car on BJ. As Steve said, they make a killing on both seller and buyer.

I am with him we should all get together and do our own auction, I am a vender at BJ and they do not cater to you at all. Once they have your money you are on your own and the money that they pull from the cars is insane. I build these cars and cant make that kind of money it is just insane what stuff goes for.
