you're a funny guy!!!!!!!!!! Just finished plumbing the engine, other than one final line from the filter to the engine. I want to wait and see exactly where the turbo downpipes end up first.

All the in-car and rear of car wiring is done, and everything works. Motor is completely wired along with the trans and paddle shifter. Got a couple friends coming over this weekend to do the downpipes and wastegate pipes, then the front clip can go back on and I can wire the front end. Took a while to figure out how I was going to get to the fuel rails; wanted it clean and there's very little room between the engine and firewall with the engine setback like it is.

Here's how I plumbed the bottom of the Precision Machine intake. Intake air temp sensor is on the left, then a #6 line for power brakes, #4 for wastegates and boost gauge, and then the map sensor.

http://www.camcojb.com/temp/malitude%20376.jpg

This is the 1/2" stainless hard line I fabbed up to "y" the main line into the rear of the rails. Stainless looks great, but is a pain to work with, next time I'd likely opt for aluminum. It looks crooked in the second pic, but that's the camera angle, it's actually parallel to the back of the manifold. Very close fit.

The last couple pics are the engine plumbed and my new Fast throttle body. Very nice piece.

Why did you do a cross over tube on the front of the fuel rails? As you know I'm very interested in your fuel system! ;)

waynieZ 04-10-2008 08:32 PM

Very nice I look forward to these updates.

Just because. I've run them both ways, this time the crossover hose holds the iac/tps wiring up and makes it a bit less noticeable.

What hose system are you using? I like what I see!!

I have a RaceLogic traction control system I will be installing; have it here, but not installed yet. Will be easier due to the ATS fron spindles which have sensors already, so only have to mount the rear sensors and wire it up.

That sounds like a cool project you can do in your "spare time"...ya know when you are bored!!

Are you ready for the weekend...it should be totally tubular!!

Speedster 04-12-2008 07:54 AM

Your car just looks incredible. Looks like all your other projects helped you decide what you really want, and then you went and did it. I will be very interested to see how the RaceLogic system works. Keep us posted. Killer job Jody.

camcojb 04-14-2008 04:26 PM

exhaust is done. Got a couple friends to come over Saturday; Troy (blown353 on the board) and his buddy (and now mine) Clint from Allied Machine Welding. They were there until 1:00 a.m. but got the downpipes and wastegate pipes completely done.

Jody car's coming out killer!!!!!! awesome job.. Hope to see it on the tour
We are using a traction control system in 1 of the G-max 66 chevelle's. Very interested in trying one of these out

Bow Tie 67 04-15-2008 10:00 AM

The turbo wrap looks aircraft spec, years ago my first turbo job was on a small twin 6 seater and the wrap was a major pain to safety wire.

Very nice clean looking build.

Jody about a year ago I painted my car a new Lexus color "Smokey Granite Mica"..........I am wondering if its the same color..?
Cant tell by pictures but it looks the same....

Musclerodz 04-15-2008 09:45 PM

Incredible Jody.

Your hard work is definitely showing...just hope your not "feeling" it. 6-12 hours a day.

camcojb 04-16-2008 11:11 PM

well, finished up the turbo water and oil lines. Need the front clip on to finish the oil filter and trans lines, so I hung a fender tonight. Started by undercoating the fender with some Wurth coating. Has a great texture.
