Josh,

Looks great!

If you've driven it, what are your impressions so far?

zingercustoms 06-01-2013 11:25 AM

Only drove it a few miles up road and back...I can say that it is fast and loud......that pic is before accident....almost done with repairs and working on finishing trunk out...had to redo the t bird....lots of work getting that all done..should be picked up in a week. Just waiting on the bumper to get back from chrome. Then put the fire bird together to be ready for good guys Columbus. Thanks

WSSix 06-01-2013 06:00 PM

Glad to hear the good news, Josh. Good luck making it to Columbus.

zingercustoms 07-15-2013 11:25 AM

Well I tried real hard to make it to the good guys in Columbus....I kinda was unbalanced in my expectations and in the fact that I didn't leave my shop from Wednesday morning until Saturday at 12:30 pm. I did the math and realized I went 77 hours on one hour of sleep at about 48 hours into it....my wife is still mad as well as my mom..lol...I did try to get there Saturday and my friends truck broke down on way so o didn't get there till Sunday morn...I will post pics later I did have ride tech weigh my car and was surprised by the numbers....total weight was 3720...49.5% up front and 50.5% in rear...pretty good. More updates later..at Columbus zoo with family.

srh3trinity 07-15-2013 11:27 AM

That is persistence. I saw a pic on Facebook of your car on the scales at the Ridetech booth and it looked awesome!

zingercustoms 07-15-2013 11:29 AM

Where on Facebook?

well here are some pics...I decided to make the ram air functional...so...it looks pretty good..the part on the car is a pattern, I will be making it nicer and making a mold for it. It has an upper part that closes down and seals to the lower....I have a few adjustments in gaps to make that I didn't have time or energy to get perfect. the wing has a third brake light in it under the yellow paint that lights up red.

THe stripes are actually really difficult to get right. they are an optical allusion. I originally made them with a 3/4 inch gap all the way through the s-curve...but it looked like crap from behind or in front of the car...so I ended up figuring out that you have to make the ends sweep gradually to a inch more on each end and when you walk around the car the stripes change according to your point of perspective and look exactly 3/4 of an inch all the way when standing at the front or back of the car.....weird.

I have a mold for the wing... my idea was that the car looked good at certain angles with a wing and not so cool at others...the ends mimic the tops of the quarters where they swoop up and the middle goes with the over all shape of the rear end with the bumper and heat shield all caring a commen shape.

Al Moreno 07-18-2013 02:44 PM

Wow great work, you must be so exited and relieved at the same time, LOL.

Lenie 07-18-2013 04:11 PM

Really like the wing, different, tasteful and clean. Nice idea.

zingercustoms 07-18-2013 07:44 PM

Thanks...the wing was one thing I was not sure about until I saw it yellow and bolted down....then I knew it was doing what I had envisioned...

Chicken Louie 07-18-2013 10:17 PM

Nice to see this one done!! I really like the close out panels under the hood!! The fit and finish on the front bumper is awesome

This is the truth. As I started to go through the pictures, I was finding myself saying, that looks nice, oohh that looks nice, wow nice job on that. There are a lot of aspects that I really like on the car. Great job!!

zingercustoms 07-19-2013 07:28 AM

Thanks...it is really tough to know what to do without too much...my style is a little close. I know that but I worked with what I had and really enjoy making pieces that add to the look and add details. I am happy I went with my bros color choice..if I had my way originally it would still be a brighter color blue. I like color. Lots of silver or charcoal cars out there.
Oh yeah. How do I get in the lateral g car of the month runnings?

Car looks good. I like the functional ram air. Glad you were able to get it fixed up.

zingercustoms 10-05-2013 04:23 PM

Went to good guys indy, had a good time. I got a nice spread (6-8 pages) coming out in American Muscle Car Magazine....its french but hey, its a start. Figures a french guy would dig the style of my car....he was really nice and knew how to get some really awesome shots....taking advantage of the great surroundings.
Here is one I took and one of him doing the shoot.
