Very Dashing...............

I like how Ironworks made the dash removable without interferring with the roll bar. NICE! --Eric |

|

Nice job on the dash to roll cage fabrication. I was around for the whole head scratching, bow-tie shape, placement, exhaust exit quandry, what looks good, no my shape is better than yours...Any pictures of the result? |

I'm glad you like the wheels. It took 6 or 7 weeks of beating my head against the wall tryin g to decide which wheel would look the best. I can wait to see them mounted on the car with some BFG rubber |

when you see HRE's next to another company they just look completly inferior! lol |
DAMN! That 'Maro is gonna be SICK!!!
John |
We stuck the wheels on the car without the tires just to see what it might look like.
Not too bad egh? http://eastbayerectors.com/camaro/rim1.jpg http://eastbayerectors.com/camaro/rim2.jpg http://eastbayerectors.com/camaro/rim3.jpg Shwiiing! |
Bad Ass!!! Those are the same rims were putting on my customers Cuda, but with a little twist. 19" all the way around with a black hoop and satin center and 15" rotors to fill them up.
Peace out!!!! |
Hot damn! Lookin good.
|
Looks Sweet!

Rims............

These rims sure would look good on a certain Nova Convertible! LOOKS GREAT! --Eric |
There was a real battle of opinions going on when I picked these out.
The HRE 893R are bad ass wheels however, they are another 1/3 more than comparable wheels. When Tyler offered me a kick ass deal I couldn't refuse. All I have to do now is paint so the wheels really stand out. A dark gray metallic will do just fine. Rodger found out last night that BFG discontinued the 315's in my size so were going with the 335's Rich |
Car is comin along nice...

What wheel styles were you guys "battling" over? Just Curious.... |
Asanti and Fisk
|
Great wheel choice Rich. HRE is top shelf.
|
Cal overnight should be here in the early AM wedensday with some BFG tires to set it down on its own weigh after getting them mounted. We here at the shop are pretty excited. The wheels are amazing.
Rodger |
DAMN!!!! those wheels look sick Rich. Good choice....and i thought when we picked your car up you were going to have roger throw it together for you. I guess you got caught in the ironworks web huh....
|
Hi Brian :captain:
A fair warning to those potential customers of Ironworks: Once you see the work they do first hand it's over! My wallet certaintly got stuck in his web! :lolhit: |

Ironworks projects seem to take on a life of their own. Just ask Rich... and Brian... and, of course, John! Tyler will find out soon enough (if he hasn't already). --Eric |
Hahaha! I was just talking to Rodger about this last night!
Rich? Remember when we were eating breakfast and I told you that now that you have your car at Ironworks you're going to REALLY see what is possible? LOL! You looked at me kind of funny and said "Well, we're just going to be putting her back together with the stuff I already have" Hahaha! I knew it was over when you said that! John |
Quote:
LOL - Yep, Funny how that happens |
well i am heading down to Ironworks friday to check out all the badd ass projects going on...Rich did they get the rubber mounted on those wheels of yours?
|
Yes Rich has the Goods. I guess he is holding out on posting. MAN Oh MAN does it look good.
Rodger |
Im loving the work you guys do.
|
Woooot!
Thank you Rodger for sending the pics.
We still need to swap out the front shocks to a coil over kit and lower the front another inch or so. You guys get the idea: http://eastbayerectors.com/camaro/tir3.jpg http://eastbayerectors.com/camaro/tir4.jpg http://eastbayerectors.com/camaro/tir5.jpg http://eastbayerectors.com/camaro/tir6.jpg |
Looks great! Coming along nicely! Is there going to be fender lip issues? They look real close on the rear? Great choice in wheels!!
It's nice to see that Rodger and crew are able to keep so many projects moving forward all at one time! Great job guys!! |
Happy Thanksgiving Anthony,
There shouldn't be any clearance issues, if there is, Rodger will just have to fix them! Rich |

I'm sure a little trim or roll will take care of any issues...if there are any that is. The reason I ask is that sometimes pics dont really show true fitment. Looks killer, you have to be stoked!! |
Rich,
That looks killer. |
happy thanksgiving guys! rich the car looks awesome! especially in person. yeah we are going to have to barely clearance the rear lip but thats all. they fit and look great.
Brycen |
Well when we started the wheel mock up we were going to run the 315 like every one else and I had told Rich that. I wanted to get the wheels before I put the 335 idea out there. The rear wheel clearance is very close, the closest part is the rear lower shock mount with the coilover end on it from the "G" bar, we have about .375 but that is from the rim, the tire clears it totally at the ride height setting we are using, With a different suspension we could have moved the back space in just a tick would have been the best clearance since the tub and lip well. All we have to do is shorten the fender lip and form it to go up so it is just as strong if not stronger then stock. It is close but with the mods we are doing to the rear shock crossmember and the mini tubs we made it will work great.
RICH you nailed the wheels buddy, I know you were like a kid in a candy store when you were choosing, But The Force is with you on this choice. Oh and once we get the front clip dialed in we can remove the wood spacer blocks in the front control arms and set the ride height even. The plan is coming togther well. The guys in my shop that have done a bunch of work on this car are showing there skills well. Brycen with the min tubs, front valance, Intercooler and exhaust. Erik with the Roll cage. Henry with the dash mods and smooth cowl and floor pockets for the exhaust. Jason with the Lay out of the engine bracket system and Procharger and the begining of the interior working. Happy Thanksgiving guys Rodger |
Thanks for the info Rodger!
Rich, I forget. What color is the car going? Do you have a rendering or someone working on one? |
Wow they really look great on there. Nice choice indeed.
I think you said you are going with some kind of dark grey/silver right? |
Rodger, you and the guys have treated my project as if it were your own from the day it arrived. I know you guys treat every customer the same but it feels like special treatment to me.
Please let Brycen, Erik, Henry and Jason know how much I appreciate their professionalism and dedication to the project. I hope everyone at Ironworks and Lateral-G has a wonderful Thanksgiving. Rich |
***Update***
Alrighty then;
Rodger came up with a cool idea for the dash and cowl. Rodger knows that I'm a pilot and how much I love to fly so, he decided to design the dash and bring the cowl through the window to have a cockpit feel. Here are a few pics of the progress; http://eastbayerectors.com/camaro/cowl1.jpg http://eastbayerectors.com/camaro/cowl2.jpg Chip Foose he's not... But you get the idea. http://eastbayerectors.com/camaro/cowl3.jpg http://eastbayerectors.com/camaro/cowl4.jpg http://eastbayerectors.com/camaro/cowl5.jpg |
