Drifters use this rear brake handle to help innitiate the drift. The handles are set up as a push/pull. One way activates the right rear and the other the left rear brake.

MikkoV 01-02-2011 06:49 AM

Yes, pulling handbrake simply locks reartyres, just like normal e-brake but hydraulic and more effective.

Itīs used in one technique when starting slide before entering the turn, or helping when changing direction.

That's awesome--you can hear that cone under the car screaming-- and its got the automatic wing deal in back like a Porsche does---LOL.

Looks like a very beautiful car and well done though.

I built the car on a SRIII Motorsports tubular chassis with C5 front and modified C4 D44 rear and adjustable coil overs all around. The handling performance and ride are just incredible......Mike Stockdale builds a very nice chassis.

The car is powered by a modified LS7 (cammed, mild head work, Marcella sheet metal intake and tune by Virginia Speed), Rockland Standard Gear "Tranzilla" T56 and 3.90 gears. Whoa action is from Baer Extreme 6S on all 4 corners.

Hi Adam

Truck looks awesome

as for the image - you need to remove the last part of the image property. It has to end with .jpg ( remove the last little bit of text after )

jvike 10-27-2012 06:21 AM

Thanks guys!
The track is Arctic Circle Raceway in Norway, very fun track. :D

The car is my 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, originaly a 318 Barracuda, converted to a 340 'Cuda when I bought it 7-8 years ago. I quickly repainted it and added the AAR theme. It is a project that gets developed as I can afford it. First I added the XV Motorsports Level II rear 3-link suspension, then I did the front XV Level II suspension and chassis stiffening kit. Level II 14"/13" 6piston/2piston StopTech brakes with hydraboost. Wheels are Forgeline WC3 18*9.5" and 18*12" rear. Tires are Toyo R888 275/35-18 and 335/30-18. In stock wheelwells! The engine is still the 340, I've overhauled it, but it's no powerhouse, iron heads, small cam, pretty stock. The engine is my next project, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna build the 340 or get a new gen Hemi or do something other. Transmission is a TCI streetfighter 727. I want to convert to a five or six speed manuell. Rearend is a 8-3/4" with suregrip and 3.23:1.
It weights in at 3461 lbs and actually has 54.7%/45.3% weight balance with 3/4 tank of fuel and no driver. An alu headed motor would move it close to 50/50.

As is now, it is a real handler, amazing grip, exellent brakes. But not on par when you talk about drivetrain. I just tought the right way was to make it handle before getting more power.

Bad aise Cuda man. It's got to be touch to get your hands on a 70 Cuda in Norway? Not many around here.

Imported it from the states, had Oregon plates on it. The WPC club lists about 40 Barracudas (all years) in Norway, so they are pretty rare. In comparison the Mustang Club has over 2000 cars listed. Sometimes there is a few cars for sale, but they charge a hefty price. :unibrow: I'm glad I got one. I say like Troy Trepanier: "You ain't got what I got" And that is true about any Pro-Touring car.
