Cris,
Are you still using the 99-02 camaro uca, lca, and spindle?

How narrow is your sub compared to a stock sub?

Your work looks great!

Here are a few more details on the chassis... Since we had it on the table.. We plumbed the brake line that crosses on the front brakes.. Much more easier to do it now....

Here are JCG's interlocking Sub-frame connectors... Might as well get those done too...

Cris,

Great pictures!

How many inches between #5/#7 exhaust port and the steering arm? Also, how many inches between #8 exhaust port and the frame?

I have been waiting patiently & working hard to get to this phase on this 69… Taking on the task of doing my own version of a chassis has been long & pain staking.. But @ this stage it has been worth the effort.. Now we have to work on a sway bar design!

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_2694.jpg

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_2703.jpg

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_2693.jpg

We moved the transmission tunnel up to gain room for the driveshaft, rear suspension, & exhaust…

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_2695.jpg

Finally got to the point where we got wheels on the car to see the what it will be looking like…

Thank you! Got some cool stuff coming on the plumbing for the thirsty Mast Supercharged LS7... Dual 3/8 fuel lines from front to back.. one for each bank of the fuel injectors with dual ZL-1 Camaro fuel moduals.. Carl from Vaporworks has been helping with that...

The only way to pick a winner would be based on performance, because both of these cars are going to look killer.

Hey bud I get busy with life and come back to the board and see this.

Thanks for the goosebumps, simply awesome work. :hail:

Cris@JCG 01-12-2013 04:36 PM

I was asked if we had any updates on the 69.. Here are a few… Reproduction sheet metal is always fun to install & make it conform to the way it should fit.. We got all the body lines done…

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_2875.jpg

We also changed the rear of the cowl hood & gave it a better flow to the finish of lines..

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_2873.jpg

We also had to modify the inside of the hood to clear the Whipple Supercharger..

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_2896.jpg

The grill has been fun fitting up to the reproduction sheet metal.. So I thought we would try something different.. On a factory 69 grill a metal stripe is use to stiffen the mount of the grill.. but wanted a nicer finish & since lately we have been playing with bonding metal to plastic.. We built a metal strip with studs & bonded it to the grill & while we were @ figured we would make a custom front bumper that would make the grill & front one pcs..

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_2898.jpg

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_3046.jpg

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_3047.jpg

Exterior body modification are done.. Currently in the body shop doing some body work!

frankv11 01-12-2013 05:19 PM

Sieg 01-12-2013 09:54 PM

Nice nose job possibly one of the cleanest yet! (no puns intended)

Vince@Meanstreets 01-12-2013 10:22 PM

nice touch, look ma, no bumper... well kinda.

Standard body bonding material?

Al Moreno 01-13-2013 07:22 AM

Cris you guys have that metal plastic bonding technique down! That looks beatiful :hail:

GregWeld 01-13-2013 08:54 AM

Just make that out of billet and sell 'em.

Gandalf 01-13-2013 09:27 AM

Wow! Love the integrated grill & front bumper.

G.

Cris@JCG 01-14-2013 09:53 AM

Thanks for the props guys! I sent over pics to the owner yesterday & was very pleased with the front clip work...

Greg- No billet but maybe get a mold done for Carbon fiber grill with center grill machined out of billet.. MAYBE! :D Thanks making me think early in the morning...

Vince- We use 3M panel adhesive that they use for bonding panels on late model cars... The whole corners on the grill we shaped with this stuff..

Just when you think everything has been done to a 69 someone comes up with a new idea.

I think it's awesome that you guys keep pushing the design idea's.

You guys are truly Trend Setters.

XLexusTech 01-16-2013 04:58 AM

Actually your valance looks better.. this one like others i have seen looks like an open Mouth of a fish.... IMHO.. your squared off looks much better...
FWIW my 2 cents on the version here... take pic and then in Photo chop match the valance opening radius with the outside fender radius (curve)

Not trying to be a fool... this work as all the work on this site is really awesome craftsmanship..
