Things to do BEFORE the body drop ----
Headliner... Rear seat panels Just kidding.... That should be stiff enough to withstand the attack of the Payton! |
Chassis is looking awesome!
|
Wow what a cool build.
:king: |
I hear you Greg
Should have been the perfect time to powder coat the frame and paint inside of car before the body went back on but it did not work out that way.
Body is on the frame http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/...ps90abb9d5.jpg http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/...psddb52644.jpg http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6ba7e427.jpg |

Lookin' real thrifty Payton!
|
Powder coating is just going to make it heavier!!!!!!!!!!!!:ohsnap: :ohsnap: Pretty Cool.
|
My suggestion would be to have it blasted and then have it electrostatically painted. Have them do the entire car on the inside car and if you ever need to touch it up it is very easy.
|
I'd have it 24kt gold plated and change the threads name....
HAHAHAHAHA Plenty of time for painting Payton! |
Looking good - I am assuming there will be a cross bar added across the main hoop to strap the shoulder belts to? :)
|
There is still things left
to do on the cage...corss bar, door bars, etc.
Cross bar is out to make tin work a little easier. Electrostatic painting is a great idea. Thinking about gold plating the intros that I have for it. Do you think it would be too much? |

Just an outstanding idea.... |
Looking good Payton.

I do like the white and gold look
Almost went with a gold anodized rim for an old school look, so you were not that far off on the gold plating.
Now that the body is on the frame time for a little tin work. First order of business was the fire wall. http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/...psbe3708e7.jpg http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/...ps700f4c2d.jpg http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/...ps63689d08.jpg |

love the Bead rolling.. Jakes Did a nice job.. cant wait to see more..
Would you consider an acid Dip? maybe that will get you the cleanup your after. |
Thanks guys
The roof skin and rear filler are being replaced. Not a lot of car left so I will just hand sand what is left.
The bead roll is really nice, wait till I post up pics of the floor and rear area. |

How are the panels going to be finished? Sound deadening measures? |
Racecar
|
race car is correct
Will probably paint the interior of the car, cage and all, white. Will due some heat barrier under the car, may have to do it on top as well.
