Your rear bumper looks just like mine. You have good taste.

Yes very similar. Started out as an Anvil CF bumper but has been cut and reshaped so I guess I can call it mine now.

I hear ya. As much as I look to a different color the Carmine Red just keeps pulling me back in.

Spiffav8 04-17-2019 05:26 PM

Car is coming along and looking really good.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

It's a great color. Alot of red Camaro pro touring builds out there but hopefully this one is unique enough it sets itself apart.

F'in mine 04-17-2019 07:08 PM

I'm probably gonna hear it from Syborg tt:warning: but its only a consideration if you ever decide to change colors.......kind of new school tribute to Hugger orange roots. I think it would contrast the blacked out areas beautifully.

Oh Hell no that is a beautiful color and would be very original on a 69 Camaro

All that experience in reliability at sustained RPM's in marine applications applied to the SB4. Can't wait to hear it roar in person!

cjfirstgen 05-14-2019 08:20 AM

Intakes completed. Had to move some stuff to get the symmetry right but barely had enough room. Also changed to RainGear wiper system which is fully under the cowl. Cleaned up the firewall as we needed the space for future maintenance.
Also will mount the clutch reservoir back on the firewall.

That's a really tight fit. Are you gonna have room for the accessories drive? Looks killer!!

Oh ok...cool!! Judging from the other pic which was more of a top shot, couldn't see them and thought to myself, where was it all gonna fit. :headscratch:

cjfirstgen 07-02-2019 09:36 AM

After a long wait we have a hood. Went back to a metal windshield cowl. Cowl has been metal worked and fit to the hood and flush glass. More coats of poly and a lot of block sanding over the next few weeks.

I hope that's a good wow. LOL Lots of changes along the way. I hate buying parts twice. Nature of the beast I guess. If I only knew then what I know now....hindsight bit me a few times. It has not been an easy road to stay the course that is for sure. In the end some of those decisions helped lead to others that have led the build to the place it is now. All the body mods are subtle and just made for a really clean look which was the plan from the start. Who knew subtle would take so much work! Super excited to see it in color soon.

Hood was a little wavy for our liking. Gaps were quite good actually. Now on to the poly....

Hood is ready for more poly along with the rest of the car.

Thanks. Not easy to find a spot hidden yet accessible but also somewhat protected. On a lift the ports will be easy to get to at least.
