Dropped the car of in Utah at Catos’s Custom Upholstery. They stated scanning the car and designing the dash. It went to the CNC cutter today. They will cut it in sections and glue it all together along with some printed parts before wrapping it. Same for the door panels, console and pkg tray.

It's amazing how common place 3D scanning is becoming. That's so cool that they are doing it for the interior.

Well guys here’s the post that I’ve been waiting for since the day I wrote my introduction to the car. I’m at Columbus Ohio to debut the car at Goodguy’s.
There’s still some shakedown things to finish up but the car is 98% finished and I couldn’t be happier with it. I’m up here with GAP Industries who did all the final assembly work. Tim made a few design changes throughout and they just knocked it out of the park. Vastine’s Paint Garage laid down the slickest black paint job you’ll ever see. It looks fake at some angles with how straight the car is and the color just reflects like a mirror. Catos Custom Upholstery ran with an idea of what we wanted for the interior and came up with the perfect blend of modern but not over the top. Everything but the sail panels and a pillars were custom made. Thanks to all of yall for helping me stay motivated. Over 6.5 years you start to question the plan. Quick little shoot from Columbus. We had an alternator/battery issue that gave us hell all weekend but the car was well received. Got it back and going to get it properly shaken down and have it in Nashville at Triple Crown along with the C10. |
Came across these 0n FB IIRC…

The other thing I may try is getting a beat up original grill, cut the egg crate out of it, and get some ABS mesh from Ebay, and then graft it on. I'm using some of that mesh on my parking light housings after I relocated the turn signals up to the headlight housings. That way, it'll match. |
