Steve,

What do you see being completed next after the interior is finished?

Plaid LOL ... there is only one plaid interior that I've seen that is killer, and it's in a $1.5M Singer

Steve,

What do you see being completed next after the interior is finished?

Skip, I believe that she is going straight to the engine shop this Friday for the engine ... Keeping my fingers crossed !

Ryan, with this EFI setup on this 3.5 she's supposed to put out 350hp ... They are seeing 100Hp/L with most of these setups, and with the build cam/compression designed by William Knight she should do this # easily ... and @ 2200Lbs should be spot on for a near perfect Porsche

Awesome, also liking the dual-plug ignition.

syborg tt 12-09-2021 08:41 PM

Holy **** !!!

The color layout on the motor is outstanding. I’ve been to all the Luft Events abs I have yet to see these colors. Everything blends together so well.

One favor can you please ask him what the color is on the fan.

Pretty please

Marty ... of course, I am checking for you

FYI guys, as this is an EFI setup with MOTEC I asked my builder why the distributor LOL ... Response, engine builder was confused !!

And thanks everyone, yes I agree the colour combo works SO well, wait until you see the finished product with the interior and the exterior, wheels + decals

Cant wait to see it together !

Cheers

Sheck44 01-28-2022 04:36 AM

Morning Y'all !!
So, a few updates ...

Exhaust, we need to make a change from the above system due to sizing and fitment issues. So, we are in the process of building a custom system using a GT3 valved muffler setup just like Singer does.

Interior, almost complete, the seats (below) just WOW ... cant wit to see these in person

Custom engine cover made by Andrew (below)

Engine FINALLY installed ... looks sooo good, cant wait to see and hear this one, the detail on this is amazing

and finally ... (for Ryan) Looks like we WILL be making it to Motorama as it's been pushed back. Going for the win with this car, best Restomod, but I'm sure the competition will be crazy

Beautiful automobile!!

What is the code or YMM for the Montana Blue? It would be perfect for a project I have.

The more I see this car the more I love it. And I honestly didn’t think I could love it more then I did yesterday

Hi there 442, I would love to but its a proprietary colour to Singer BUT I will see if I can get you the paint code

LOL ... Marty, thank you ... So looks like we have a definitive finish date for the end of March and pick up early April and then I believe you will like it even MORE when its completely done !

Thanks guys
Video will absolutely be posted !!

Marty, yes this exhaust has not been easy ... Long tube headers from M&K with the heat exchanger makes it very tight. Also, I absolutely wanted a remote controlled valved system so had to source out the right valves for the GT3 system but this should all work out perfectly now

Titanium tips on the way !!!

Absolutely beautiful build. I owned a 993 for 15yrs and regret selling it every day. Nothing drives like an air cooled Porsche. You’ve got a winner on your hands. Nice job.

WSSix 02-05-2022 07:12 PM

So how do the valves work, Steve? Do they have a hole in the center or half moon shaped? I always thought the exhaust valves routed the exhaust through a different path when open.

raustinss 02-06-2022 03:47 AM

Guess I won't volunteer to weld you some stainless tips then lol

Buddy ... your a little late to the party !! I've been watching your welds on Insta and I'm impressed my friend

Trey, this is what we used for the valved setup

https://www.pinkbike.com/u/Sheck44/mail/

And then I used the remote system from Soul Performance

Here is a great explanation on these setups ...

ok, so it it a bypass system which is what I was expecting. You're system just doesn't have the second set of pipes in place yet. I also completely missed the top port on the muffler. Very cool. Thanks, Steve

Love love love the build.

One small suggestion.

I have wireless electric cutouts on my 701rwhp CTS-V, and I was able to sync the open and close of the cutouts to my OEM homelink garage door opener, so button #1 opens my garage door, #2 opens my cutouts, and #3 closes them.

Not sure if you're looking at an integrated garage door opener in the roof, but it's a small way to make the build better than using a rudimentary remote you have to stash somewhere in the car.

They do offer aftermarket options for installation:

In LA last week to see the car, again it all comes down to the details and the work on this car is exceptional, Nathan's obsession for perfection is clear
