With the pointy nose on this car, I always thought it looked like the Mach 5 from Speed Racer not the Batmobile.

I'd run with that one buddy.

Those batwings look redonkulous

Enjoying this build, I put together a 69 javelin using many of the modifications done in the trans am days.
Build here http://www.bangshift.com/forum/forum...project/page46

Btw, love the nose update! I've been doing some carbon fiber fabrication and I appreciate the effort just to make the plug!

I'd like to do a more radical build of another javelin at some point, interesting to see how you are updating this monster.

Cheers
Mike:thumbsup:

Dropped the nose off today, talked composites for a couple hours. Funny its only like $75 more to do the parts in carbon over glass. The thing is he didn't recommend using carbon, although most of the parts he had there were carbon. He said real world its not as strong as multiple layer hand laid glass, wear the layers go in opposite directions. A little heaver but way stronger.

What is strongest, and most expensive is Kevlar. So what I am doing is multiple layers of glass, sandwiching Kevlar at in critical areas where the bolts will go through etc.. The most reasonable for the money, but I guess we'll see.

A good start to the changes you want on the rear quarters might be a 68 Camaro panel?http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...s71807d4b.jpeg

Funny how all our minds work the same, with the original design, the 67 Camaro quarter was my first thought. I'm pretty sure Torque had the same idea and used it to aid in his photoshop morphing. I immediately saw it, and apparently you did too.

Unfortunately the new design won't allow anything that easy, the bulges I'm now looking for this are more like a 69 Chevelle quarter. In the end I will probably use the eyebrows I cut off a 71 Javelin, and fabricate the rest.
The cool part is, I'm having molds made of the fenders, nose and quarters, so I could mass produce these cars.

Ron, that would be awesome if you were able to mass produce the parts and recoup some money from the build. Good luck with the molds. I think the car is turning out nice.
