Nova works did a great job! Look at that engine bay...damn

I vote for you to pull the LS7 and go with the LS3. I hear that boost can be addiciting. Also, you can have an LS2 machined with oil coolers just like the LS9...just a thought.

I love that look!

It blends in with the rest of the car perfectly.

I have a LS2 I'd trade you. Hell I'd even come pick it up ;)

Engine Bay Gusset

I was thinking of leaving it like that but Rodger would like to add a solid sheetmetal piece that will clear the hinge. Wadda ya think?

John

I got to see your car last friday and I must say that it is just unbelievable. I could have spent hours just going over the car checking out everything. Very nice!!! I can't wait to see it all done.

I like how there are various parts that had to be removed to install the procharger just scattered on the cowl. Old radiator tabs, old radiator hoses,we are running #20's now because, WE HAVE TO, old sway bar bushings, cuz those has to be changed, plus practically my hole bolt bin.

I think it is funny you say contemplating a boosted LS3 when we all know you mean postponing the LS7 hitting the for sale section and me calling GM for an LS3. That is like you saying, I have been comtemplating trying something with that Hot girl, Yeah right, contemplating my ass. I remember when this was just supposed to be an average tube chassis 66 that would be cool and get some attention. Those days are long gone.

I believe it has officially gone to 15 lbs of crap in 5 pound bag.

I'm glad you like the engine gusset it is starting to grow on me.

That looks good. Roger, I have a question on the crossbar mounting. I am going to make one with dimple die holes but have not determined best way. I am thinking removable clamps from here http://www.joesracing.com/.
However your idea looks good with sheet metal extending all the way to bars. Are you just using a couple of 3/4" bars with flat tabs?

Oh and John....I have a new crate LS3 and I also can deliver for the swap:unibrow:

Well Tom as far a crossbar, We have some basic solidworks design we have had on the drawing board for about a year. The plan has been to CNC machine a billet aluminum cross bar that will unbolt easily but also have a jewelry like appearance. I really want to anodize it in that crazy carabeaner orange or purple color...... I think that would look awesome with some adeal wiggins clamps from XRP........

And yes I have gotten to know you pretty well along this journey........ Contemplating??????....Yeah what are you trying convince your wife? That is what I would hear from my married customers.

Yah the machined billet piece would be killer but what you have still looks good imo if you finish off the holes.
