It makes me laugh that I even typed that. Mass produced, people didn't flock to these cars when they were new, I truly don't think they will run to them now.

The molds just came about because the parts are so hard to come by, if I wad the car up, I will pay through the nose for panels that I will have to cut up. And I got the car for free, figured the cost of the molds just covered what the car would have cost initially. I do have a parts car that may become Xperimental 2.0.

Good insurance that will let you drive the car to it's potential because you're not haunted by the thought of repair expenses.

Funny how all our minds work the same, with the original design, the 67 Camaro quarter was my first thought. I'm pretty sure Torque had the same idea and used it to aid in his photoshop morphing. I immediately saw it, and apparently you did too.

All the morphing I did was with the quarter from a '71 to '74 humpster AMX using it's eyebrow.

Below you can see how much that quarter is flared out comparing it to Carl's Camaro.

Ron,

Where fore Art Thou?

Working on the Quarters???

Been working on my Mustang getting it ready for Motorstate. Did pick up the nose mold, need to clean it up, and make the fins for the area that bolts it to the fender. The fiberglass guy said it took a full week to get the mold off of my plug, pretty much destroyed the plug doing so.

The fiberglass guy is the only guy I know busier then me, he is running around like a one armed paper hanger. So I decided to make the rails on the nose mold myself, to speed up the process. The parts will come fast out of the mold he promises, so I'll get the mold back Monday or Tuesday.

Ron - how did the mold get screwed up?

57hemicuda 07-14-2014 02:35 PM

The mold didn't get screwed up. The plug stuck to the mold to the point that it took 1 1/2 weeks to get it to eject. When the mold was removed some of the plug was stuck to it.

The fiberglass guy is so swamped, and I want the part so bad, that I picked it up cleaned it, and made the fins for the attachment flange. Made the fins out of aluminum, and powder coated them orange.

Got both done and fitted, hopefully I'll get it back tomorrow.

Glass nose finally made, detail on this part is exceptional for a fiberglass part. I'm not going to lie I'm pretty proud of this thing, can't wait to get the fenders back.
