Marcus it's really hard to do anything different on a Camaro interior these days without getting too far out there. It'll just be clean, nothing out of the ordinary.

That's funny about the shifter because the first thing I thought of is one of those vibrating "Magic Bullets". Hmm.... I thought you were in SoCal, not San Francisco. To each their own though, I say. What a man does in his own passenger compartment is no business of mine.

So after last week's visit, they told me a couple of more days so I made a final punchlist, checked with Dick @ BoS on final fab and availability and went down there today. There's still a couple of things left to do but we're down to hours at this point. Came out pretty much as expoected.

Here's one of those pics I was holding out on last week so you could see the in process and finished door panel:

http://i885.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps10c24f35.jpg

And a couple of interior shots:

I scored an OEM dashpad and had it recovered in leather, double stitched. Came out nice, smells good too.

Yeah I sniffed it in front of a bunch of dudes at the interior shop. You would've too! :D

I really like that door panel. Great balance between stock and some of the over-the-top designs. Nailed it.

After this weekend I figured out that for around $60K I can make my Camaro a respectable track car with little time and energy invested..............

..............by purchasing a Lotus 2-Eleven and using the Camaro for going out to dinner. :unibrow:

One day out in the Lotus and you're already a convert? Be very careful here Sieggy, you may have to turn in your LatG man card :D :welcome3:

Wait til I let him run the Mustang at Sonoma in August.... then he'll want one of those! Everyone has a Camaro... Why have a car that there's 1000's of vendor parts for at cheap prices when you can drive the same basic car for twice the cost?

And just for the record..... One must actually have posted up a video of real track time in order to have a "man card"... (well - except Todd - he had to forfeit his after he got scared and sold the car).

Just sayin' <grin>

GregWeld 05-08-2014 03:47 PM

They're not real shoes until they have brake dust on them.... and heel and toe scuff marks.

Wear them next time you pound the scooter around Brett's shop - that'll make 'em real! LOL
