Sorry...its really nothing special. I did all the work in my garage minus the paint. My dad bought the car new and it was given to me as my first car in 1981. The suspension is all Global West...leafs in the back and stock style (not coil over) in the front with Koni shocks and Baer brakes all around. The engine is a stock stroke solid roller 302 with 4 speed toploader trans and a 3.89 geared 9" rear. Going to build a new stroker motor soon just cant decide on a stock block 347 or a Dart blocked 363.

Thanks Kevin! For nothing special it sure does look great. Very cleanly done. Good luck with the new engine.

Go dart but with a 347... The extra displacement isn't gonna get you any more power and going max bore will only hurt you in the long run when you decide to rebuild it 2-3 times, seeing as this car is gonna stay in the family forever ;-)

-stock blocks split after 400-500 hp so if you go dart and wanted to pro charge it or turbo it later or even use it in another project it'll hold up to 1,000 hp without coming apart or needing a new block after you've wasted all that money cutting a stock block for a stroker....

Thanks...and you are right the extra displacement will not make any difference in power. But the larger 4.125" bore un-shrouds the valves which can make a significant difference in power. Also, max bore on the Dart is 4.185" so there is room for a couple of additional .030 over rebuilds.

Ive built quite a few vehicles out of small garages with no lift.. I was mid way through an F100 desert truck, but I took the mustang out to the track and got bit with the bug to really fix her up, so against the wall the truck went and I tore back into the mustang!

Have you considered going to a windsor?

My 72 Ford Maverick project. My hands will do almost the entire build. The only things sub'd out are the interior and the trans rebuild. Everything else is all me from design to the fabrication and on.

My favorite shot of my home build. 1966 over 1996.

Cool. How far along are you? I know SN65 was built years ago now but I think it was one of the only cars built in that manner. Good luck with the build.
