That's an Evoque, right? I've always thought those were cool mid-size SUVs.

It's hard to believe but 5 years ago we bought a Mazda3 for my wife to drive into the city and for me to haul my bike around on weekends. The car was great when my kids were small and no longer worked well 5 years later. So my wife & kids decided we needed to replace it. Plus I could no longer stand listening to them complain so after a Doctors appointment (last one for 4 months) we stopped at the Dealer.
The first dealer was trying to convince me how rare and hard to find they are then I saw there inventory of 25 + so I said they can't be that rare. He made a snide comment and I just laughed. They even told me there nearest dealer just bought two from them yesterday. So I went home and found 125of them within 25 miles of my house. I kinda laughed because I just love car salesmen and I new he was lying. The sales person called bright and early and I told her I was heading to the other dealer because they had 12 and I was going to see what they would offer. After our conversation ended she must have gone to the sales manager because all of a sudden them came down another $1,750 and increased my trade $500.00. When I went to the Naperville dealer they came in $2,000 less then there offer. In then end I bought it from the Naperville dealer for $5,000 less so it was only a $6,000 more then a fully equipped Chevy Equinox. The part that sucks is I only drove it home and haven't seen it since. Seems my wife really likes it. |

2013 08-05 2nd Chance Camaro - Assembly Pictures
2013 08-14 2nd Chance Camaro - Tiger Cage in Red www.2ndchancecamaro.com Good Afternoon, The guys started running the brake lines under the car and it looks like Kenny test fitted the seats. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...9046c5c-me.jpg Yes we powdered coated the Tiger Cage, sorry Bret. The funny part was it was already in the car and Kenny had to pull it back out to powder coat it red. I bet Kenny called me a few names. http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...8400d56-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...4ccf647-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...c7ae331-me.jpg http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...ca885d8-me.jpg Here is a picture of the fenders going on so we could test fit the new GoodMark Industries hood. (Sorry about the picture Quality) GoodMark was kind enough to take care of us on the Syborg project and in my world if someone takes care of you, you stand by there side. So we purchased a new 2" steel cowl hood from them and the fit was spot on. We couldn't be happier. Scroll back up to see how it looks on the car or wait till tomorrow and I will do another post with the hood on the car. ##### Still looking for this picture ##### pictures hosted by www.garagescene.net |
Marty, I am sure Kenny was cussing up a storm having to take that out. Looks good in red. I am taking my 70 to the Goodguys Pleasanton event next weekend for its first trip. I will add some pictures to the thread on it once I get a chance.
Looks like your wife just got a nice ride. Keep the progress pictures coming, you covering that dash yet? Ed |
