Hey Greg, I read through the 69 pages on the Mustang and didn't see any suspension information. I've read you're running some Maier equipment, looks like leafs and a panhard bar in the rear. Could you explain what's going on under the car, it obviously works well.
Thanks Dan |

Dan -- There's some funny looking suspension and stuff under there... other than that - I haven't a clue |
Bummer.

It's at my place in Bellevue -- I'm at my place in Sun Valley - so I can't go look even. And I really have no idea what's what with it... I just change the oil after each motor blows up -- the suspension is fine -- so other than nut and bolting it - I don't look. It's just "stuff". |
Gotcha. Maybe it'd be easier if I went over and poked around a lil, the hide-a-key still under the fake rock?
I'll keep looking, if it comes up in conversation with Jack or Charlie I'd be interested to know what works. Thanks Dan |

Charley is like me -- doubt he'd have a clue... Maybe Jack will remember. I'll email and ask him. |
Jack just replied that he used TCP - Total Control Products - which is the race division of Chris Alston.... But I know for a fact that there is Maier Racing stuff on there as well because his name is the first thing you see when poking your head under the car...
Vari Shocks is what I remember seeing and someone else commenting on... And the front engine - shock tower bracing looks like what is shown on the TCP website... but I also know it has tubular A arms.... and bump steer adjusters I combed my photos thinking that I might have a couple of pics of the suspension but I don't... |
I appreciate the information, can't really go wrong with either of those names.
I did see a few under car photos in the thread, just the rear though. I'll keep digging. Thanks again Dan |

Thank you both.
I remember the Cortex Mustang, he was running Optima the same year as us. Something about no windows and snow on the drive from LasVegas! Street car, oh sure. I'll look into D$E, quality stuff for sure. Dan |
