Glad to hear she's doing well Frank. Dogs are family, and those of us who have and love them know the feelings you've been dealing with. glad to hear it's all getting better!

Well, I think were all good now so I think this will be the last update for a while. Today she woke up great this morning, went out to do her morning poopy, walked around the yard a little, and when Gizmo took off running up the hill towards the house for his traditional snack, Chia knew what was up and took off running up the hill much to our joy and concern she would hurt herself all at once! It looks like she is going to be just fine now.

Our biggest issue now is holding her down. She jumped on the couch! BAD! Tried to play with a toy (a little), not cool. We need to prevent her from stressing her stitches and staples. It is simply amazing that just 90 hours after the attach that gave her a 50 / 50 chance to survive, a few hundred stitches and staples later, a good 50% of her body stitched, stapled or bruised, that she was actually RUNNING this morning. Imagine one of us with 50% of or body beat up!

Again, Thanks so much to everyone that posted, replied, PM, E mailed, and called, or those who even followed quietly. I think there is something like 300 reply post combined on a few boards I go to, and 1000s and 1000s of page views for people just checking in. This extended family is incredible, and words cannot describe how thankful Lisa, michael and myself are for all the support.

I know it just a dog, but damn it, we did not need this **** right now, I got cars to build!

I have a final update picture from this evening when I arrived home. Mrs Chibby was a little sore and did not get up real fast, so we just laid together a while, and of coarse Gizmo wanted to make sure I knew he was there too!

Maybe in a couple months when Chia's hair grows back in I can toss up a coupe WhatYaThinkOfMeNow pics!

Thanks again.

Frank, Lisa and Micahel Serafine

Glad to hear that all is fine!!!!
That is great news. I am a HUGE dog lover and absolutely hate it when dogs are in pain/trouble. My fiance's dog just recently went through a surgery to remove cancer which was succesful. She was up and about the very next day like nothing had happened.
I've had many dogs and putting them down is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT.
Again, glad all is well with your "baby'!!!! :)

I just checked in to review the forum. Damn we love these dogs more then our own kids sometimes. Remember they never talk back to us. Mans best friend and all that... Its all true.

I knew Frank had a soft spot. It just took us a while to get it out of him. I must say, I'm glad that vet bill is not mine. WHEW! Glad to hear the good news.

As for me, the nature gave us a lot of gifts for the life on that earth but the most precious are the animals, I hope its not only me;)

Dogs are very special creatures for me, so cute, so smart and so easy to make happy:yes: .
