very cool build!
Mikes work is excellent |
Starting to make some progress with the drivetrain and thought I would share it with you guys. I installed the engine and TKO 600 in the chassis and fit the new DSE headers. I thought for sure I would be doing surgery on the transmission crossmember, especially since the engine was moved back an inch.Turned out great and fit right in there.
Perhaps you guys can help me out with a drive angle question, the angle finder on the trans shows it going down almost 5 degrees. Should I bring it up by shimming the crossmember plate that the trans mount sits on? Or a thick piece of steel between the trans and mount? What is the ideal angle, Im running the dse 4 link? Thanks Rich Heres a few more pics: http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...Picture087.jpg http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...Picture110.jpg http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...Picture108.jpg http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...Picture109.jpg Rich |
That looks GREAT Rich!! :hail:

Very nice, cant wait to see this one done.

To be safe place the angle finder on the output shaft and or the balancer to check the angle. I would shim between the trans and crossmember. I will be running a 3 degree down hill angle, but I am running leaf springs. I would call DSE to see what they recommend for angle.
By the way those are some very nice pieces parts you have there. Can't wait to see it finished |
It looks like a work of art! Very Nice

Is this the camaro on mikescustomcars.com that was basically rusted away to nothing but the supports inside the body?
If so you guys are insane! Nice work but insane! |
