It would hit the radiator, I tried. I'm thinking about pulling the air out from the cowl vent. I hate to go over the headers but maybe we can use some header wrap which would give the engine compartment a real industrial look. Or if you thermal coat the headers it should be far enough away to not really be an issue.
The inner fenders are the interference point for the Procharger. If I put it on the other side it would have to be more away from the engine cuz that cylinder head is farther forward. Right now it is really close to lining up to the serp belt as it is with a 1/4" plate used to test the fit up before we cust the rest of the support brackets. Rodger |
What about modifying the inner fenders?
using two plates (so both sides match) you could box the fenders in having the piping running through the enclosure. Does that make sense? |
Not really, can you expalin further? I need to install the front sheetmetal to see how much clearance we have. I have one header ready to go back in and then we will re hang the sheetmeal to make sure the Procharger is under the hood and my intercooler plumbing will go the way I want.

Could you mod the fenders, and move the procharger bracket further left on the pass. side? If you found the additional space, you could mount it like I suggested. I guess you would need to hang the fenders before you could tell. This is one heck of a build. I like the pictures on the ironworks website

I was thinking about boxing in one of the fender to accomidate the procharger.

NIce!
Nice Car Rich. Rodger on those Tubs I like my car low as well. If it all works out well can you replicate them? I would be interested in a set.
I want my car (67) low fat :-) |
We would have to build them for your car. We are typically a 1 off shop and we don't pattern much for the next, cuz every car is different. I could build and install them for ya though no problem. We can build to whatever width you car will allow. I could have gone deeper on the tubs for a 335 but rich did not want to take out the G -bar.
