How far do you go before you it's not worth fixing any more?
quarters, floors, cowl, roof, whats left of the original car?

Tony is correct, to me it all about the experience. And I know what has been done to the car.

Mike --- I ask myself the same question all the time when I see stuff like this... Guy rips into it - next thing you know - only the roof hasn't been replaced. Us BestCoast guys usually can still find decent starter cars... but even then it's a tough call.

Mario (DOOM) can handle this better than most - if you note his signature in the posts... He's no mere mortal!

Mike .. I like to call it the thrill of the build!!:_paranoid .I hear what your saying .. This is a major challange for me.I love taking something from nothing and making something from it. I also have alot of people locally that think I can't do this. This motivates me more. I want to blow them away. And believe me this isn't the only reason.. I can go on and on it really does'nt matter. Hope this helps you understand a little..

Looking forward to this thread. We all need motivation! I'm in the same boat as you (without oars)! Replacing every panel, floor, frame rails, and roof!

I was thinking about this on the way into work today. Right now the only original metal on my car is the rear body panel and rockers.

Mario, if you question the roof, just do it. The replacement roof is a nice piece and it sure makes welding a rollbar in much easier.

It's coming off for sure ..

I agree, the roof panel is a nice piece, probably the best of all the repop stuff. Rockers cowl and rear inner fenderwells were the only thing I kept from my orginal car. Took me 2 years to hunt down all the NOS stuff at a decent price, but that was 6 years ago. I know a guy that deals in NOS if you need a source.
