You're about the third person to say DON'T on the coin floor.

So I'm thinking about just asking them to leave the "box" plywood - painted/sealed.... and maybe having the floor done in bed liner? Or maybe
just leaving it plain and painted.

My current trailer has polished diamond plate --- talk about a waste of money and slippery! One drop of coolant or fluid - and you're going to the hospital with a broken hip!:willy:

Yep forgot about the coin flooring being slippery as snot on a glass door knob too. I'm not sure about bedliner, it's tough to clean too the dirt sits in the valleys of the texture. I honestly think painted wood is the way to go, it can be repainted if it gets tired looking.

I'm bet a little research would find something pretty reasonable and maybe even kinda trick to vent heat via solar operated fan. You have enough sqft on the roof that you could run AC on solar...

Heck - they are putting flexible solar panels in back packs nowadays.

Sounds like a tree hugger!

LOL

No roof penetrations for me. I live in the land of rain and the heat just isn't an issue nearly as much as something that pokes a hole in a roof. Good suggestion though!

The latest thing CA has is they are giving tickets to 3 axle trailers. Some how they are justifying it as a commercial or special endorsement license. They are trying to get every penny they can off people.

Might want to look in to that if you go thru CA often.

Tree hugger..oh hell no. I just like technology. And these guys are all hung up on the few extra degrees that black is gonna give you.

Speaking of tree huggers...I actually read about a "kalifornia" proposal making certain dark colored cars illegal since it "decreased" fuel economy due to the AC working harder.....holy helllll!

Well I think Greg has found his car hauler with living quarters.
He emailed me this picture to post it up. I think he did a good job. Just not sure how reliable it is, it seems like he bought it slightly used.

What's the over all length limit for Cali and other States? I remember my cousin telling me that Cali is 60' max? He has a motorhome and 26' race trailer for his Drag Boat and was telling me he is too long for Cali...but goes down there a couple times a year anyways...so far no problems...but it's always in the back of his mind when he goes down there for races!

Greg, Frank has a 42' (I believe) trailer (black!)...I would think he would have some good insight after crossing the country a couple few times with it!
