That's pretty cool. Post up some pictures for us.

Way to go Guy!

Hey Gaetano,

I live in Lincoln and have these WC3s with satin black centers and polished outers. If you want to try them give me a call we can work something out. I would hate to see you spend that kind of money and not be completely satisfied. I will pm you with my number. I looked at wheels for 5 years and finally pulled the trigger and I am very happy. Also check these out, they are WC3 with gunmetal centers on an orange 69. http://www.pro-touring.com/showthrea...WC3&highlight=

IMOHO polished with gold or gun metal center looks good against orange or red.... OR gold or gun metal center with semi gloss black lip

Thanks Guy. Really appreciate your help. I honestly never thought picking wheels would be so hard.

Tell ya' what Jerry, Picking wheels and wheel colors is the hardest decision I have ever had to make for my car. $5000 doesn't come easy for a hard working guy like myself and going to 18's thats where I'll be with tires. Once the decision is made thats it baby!! To be honest with you, my first choice would be all matte black. Only because it feels more race style to me. My second would have something to do with bronze. I've always liked bronze. Maybe a semi gloss or gloss black lip with bronze center.

I still haven't nailed it down yet, but getting help from people like Guy is priceless. He obviously knows what I'm going through.

Could be Curtis...could be. The WC3 is definitely a great looking wheel for my car but I'm also being challenged with the fact that my car is purpose built and according to Forgeline the GA3R is closer to their top racing wheel. That and the fact that I feel a 17" tire gives you more grip. Looks are important to me but performance comes first on the list.

Guess were both kinda' going through the same ordeal right now......decisions, decisions.

It's never an easy decision, but well worth investing the time and effort to get exactly what you need/want. Way to much money to be unhappy with ones purchase. So be picky.

I pulled up pictures of the WC3 and the GA3R and...yeah I like both. If the GA3R is performance based, that wins the toss up. The one thing I like about it, is that it looks good in just about every color and finish combo.

I'm no expert when it comes to what wheel size is best for performance, but I used to fly with a guy who was huge into race cars and recall him saying that a 16" wheel was best for performance. Is that true....I have no idea, but you might right about running a 17" wheel giving you a bit more grip.

The whole small wheel argument is a weak one at this point in my opinion. A modern ZR1 comes with 20/19. Stielow has a 19/18 combo. You do need enough brake to control that wheel. In your case, you can fit a 14" rotor inside an 18" wheel if you choose to do so at a later point. I'd make sure you spec the wheels to clear C6 calipers. One other thing you need to keep in mind is the photos of the wheels are in larger wheels. Once you shrink them down to a 17", they look wrong. I do agree with tire cost at 17" but I'd still buy 18's. R888's aren't to bad. I shopped around and spent under a $1000 for my current set.
