I think he meant other vendors have been removed here, not that you had been removed from other sites. Thanks for the update Matt.

I am sorry about the lack of communication on our part its not our way. We just have been at the mercy of Astro on the cyro process for your trans upgrade. They have been stacked up with orders and it just has taken a long time. Paul spoke to you a few weeks ago and we have been just waiting for them to let us know when it was shipping. They called today and its going out now. I have asked Paul to call you again to discuss.

The first line here pretty much sums up my experience with American Powertrain. I was pushing to get my parts on time and had many wrong shipments. Proactive communication was non-existant from them. If I did not call daily and push them for information I feel like I would still be waiting on my delivery. The most frustrating part was when I talked to my sales guy and he apologized saying the shipping manager was traveling on the Power Tour so they did not know when they would be shipping the correct products to me. Doesn't make you feel too good when you want to complete a car to enjoy the summer and your build is waiting on a vendor who is out playing.

I agree American Powertrain means well as a company but operationally a lot needs to be corrected. Hopefully soon changes are made so they don't completely destroy their reputation like other trans vendors have. In the end I did get a great transmission that I love but a less stressful purchase and better would have been nice.

Yep that just about sums it up and a few other things! Will see, mine is to be delivered to Troy monday???????????????????????????????????????? I'll believe it when I see it. AP had one last chance to make my deal right and they didn't. I could care less if they ever get there problems taken care of ! They'll never see a penny of my money!! I never had more aggrivation spending $8500.00 in my life. In the end AP will be fine I'm only one person......:popcorn2: Greg Weld said it best ''IF THEY ONLY KNEW'':D

Matt,

I was under the assumption I would be receiving a full refund.

To date I have not seen one?

Thanks,

Scott

I was driving on the same road Mario.

Thankfully I'm only out a few hundred dollars. Time is our most valuable asset and when unethical vendors do not respect the time and schedules of their customer and the shops working on their cars it's extremely disappointing.

I fell for Shafi Keisler's RS600 hype then smelled a rat and got my deposit back. When I went to AP for the shifter I didn't know they were ex-Keisler employees and it didn't take long for me to remember the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

On the up side Hurst Drivelines has been outstanding to deal with. They're not perfect as there has been mistakes but when they've made them they've been close to perfect in customer service. They've given me the benefit of doubt, expedited, comp'd, promptly communicated and honored their words over a year later. Good customer service is obsolutly a two-way street and they've proven themselves time and time again in a professional, polite, courteous and friendly manner. Never a bad vibe.

You said it Seig, mistakes will always happen unfortunately. It's how those mistakes are handled that makes you truly good at what you do in anything. All vendors and any potential ones should see these types of threads as a lesson and not an opportunity to say how hard they work and the customer has no idea what they have to do in a day. Last I checked most of us work for a living which means we KNOW how much there is to do everyday to run a business. Some can do it and some can't! :bang:
