I'll be driving AMXess from Daytona to Milwaukee WI next month. No problem!

I think we've done 5 cross-USA trips in this rig over the years... you definitely learn how to fix 'em on the road. It's pretty well sorted out at this point... maybe it's time to tear it apart and do it differently!

Nothing better for a cross country road trip than an FE powered Ford.:trophy-1302:

Yeah, the FE blew up years ago... now it's an EFI 351 Windsor. HOWEVER, I'd love to build an R-Code 427 dressed like a 406 for this sled some day.

Hopefully, my 67 Camaro is going to be done this summer. Although, it could be next summer. I always planned to drive it long trip as I did in the past. A chase truck with trailer is good idea. I have stranded in the past, before it was pro-touring Camaro.

I drive the Beach Cruiser to all the local autoX's 30-40 miles. Would drive it farther, but right now It's only on Hoosier A6's but I'm working on getting a set of Rivals for my spare wheels. It's kinda loud, but it rides good. Since every track event I've taken it to I've broken it, not ready to drive and race yet, but I'm pretty hard on it at the track trying to break it to find the weak links in it. It's headed to VIR this weekend, but on a trailer.

back in the old college days - yes. But i could barely afford the GTI i had, let alone the truck and trailer to pull it.

I voted 5 year plan. My hot rod is first priority but i should get that running by next summer. Then I will go the PT route

Getting ready to do the power tour.. the drive from Wisconsin to maryland is going to be 14 1/2 hours according to mapquest..

The sad part for me, I think the camaro (with a 6 speed) gets the best gas mileage out of all the cars and truck I own.:lostmarbles:
