the exterior, I'm talking about the seam between the rear quarter and back tail light panel, and between the deck filler panel and quarter. the areas that will be painted over on the out side of the car

I did manage to find this product in another build posthttp://i1368.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0kk4hkj5.jpg

And here is an example of what i meant by outside seam sealing

obviously something that can be painted over, whereas the under car seam sealer I would suppose needs to be more rugged

as for my build I didn't get much done, just some rust repair

Up in the inner sail panel there was one small rust spot. looks like condensation
build up over the years I suppose.

Took a little hammering to get the shape right but in the end it fit pretty well

Next I began to work on the area where the quarter panel attaches on the side of the rear window, I made some tabs to locate where the original edge sat, to make sure I followed the same line, there is a slight curve here

I didn't get much further than this,

I got it welded and test fit the quarter, I have a high spot so it needs adjustment
Here is the only other pic I have of this at the moment, But basically it was a piece of 18ga that I had made into 5/8"x5/8" angle then I trimmed off one leg just past the bend, It would have been much easier to just replace the one 5/8" leg and not cut down the side but there was some rot that creeped down and I wanted to make sure I got it all.

The yard was a disaster so the rest of my weekend was spent being a landscaper..
