Thanks guys. Not a lot of people seem to fully black out their wheels on these muscle cars I have found, plus it looks a little tougher without any shine, so I thought it would work well for this car.
|
send the other 3 to the powdercoater!!!!!!!!!!!!;)
|
Looks good Dave, I like it.
I'll see them next time I am up there. |
The black looks good Dave.
I also like how Rad Rides did theirs...a little break from real dark wheel centers with lighter color hoops. http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...Joliet_093.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...orama09_25.jpg |
Since your experimenting with single color wheels, another look that might work is an 'almost black' color, not quite black but definitely way beyond grey.

Looks really good.:hail: |

That car is a very nice one to mimic in many ways! |
If we powdercoat the other (3) wheels, we can always repowdercoat the outer hoops in a dark grey or something like on the Nova. The wheel has a good sharp transition that would allow for a crisp tape line....

We could powdercoat, but that Nova's outer lips are not powdercoated just FYI.... it's brushed and then something special in the clearcoat. |

It is an interesting look on Notorious' hoops for sure. As you know, it's the details that set these bad boys apart from one another. |

Couple of resized pics. I met Jason today and saw the wheel in person. Really like the finish with the slight touch of gloss. Gonna get em all done and mount em up next week!

Dave,
The wheels look good. I will have to get up there when you get everything mounted. |
Dave,
Likely they'll fire it up today or tomorrow? |

Mine is up and running good. But still need to get a better fuel system and tune on a wideband. Sounds like you are getting real close.....

I thought your sig was current and you were still under construction. How is that new procharger workin for ya? Who is gonna tune yours? You taking yours to GG end of May? |
update
Well all the parts from Holley are in now. New rails and FPR. Should be bolted on in the next day.
FAST EFI getting hooked up and final wiring figured out. Apparently there are 3 wires that aren't marked and no one is quite sure where they go or what they do. Instructions are not helping either. All 4 wheels should be powdercoated and installed. Exhaust should be done tmrw... the Stainless Works X-pipe was too wide to make work well without cutting it down so much or having to run a near S-pipe to connect to the collectors and then mufflers. So Jason had a stainless Magnaflow X-pipe at the shop that he used instead that fits mucho better. Not sure if the IC plumbing will be done by Saturday (not mandatory obviously) but it looks good for a Saturday fire up! You think I am excited? :) |
Fiend, I say. F-I-E-N-D....... Dave, you're making me nervous buddy! :willy: Guess someone is anxious! Keep those fingers crossed, we'll see if we can get it all dialed.
Exhaust is done to the mufflers and out- I'll send you some pics in the morning to see if you still want to have turn-downs or continue out the back. So far, it's looking good. The v-band flange set up makes everything removable. From my end, you know I like serviceability!! Out the back looks pretty straight forward- the notched tank makes things WAY easier. |
Quote:
I'm sure we will be ready! See, the exhaust is already done! :D Can't wait to hear some loud ass turn downs. :D I am wondering about the capacity of my single fuel pump now at this power level.... gonna post a thread in the EFI section about it.... |

^^ Wow, very cool. Thanks Jody!
I know you and Jason have talked recently about this thing... does he have this printout I wonder? (If he didn't, he does now!) :D Thanks again! |
Thanks Jody......guess I know what I'm working on tomorrow-.
If you're smart Dave, you'll don your ninja suit tonight & cut my phone lines so I can dedicate my attention to your car. Business is crazy busy, it makes my head spin, but won't hear me complain!! Sometimes I feel like I'm suffering from VERTIGO :wow: |
Pinout may help, I'll look and see. Problem is, the random wires are under the hood, wrapped in a "modified" harness. I'm sure we can chase them down.....must eminate from somewhere, right? Time to send signals and run some continuity tests.
Couldn't resist the bad pun in the previous post, must be delirious! |
Quote:
Sounds like you need an admin up there. Hey my staffing company can find someone for ya. :D You'll know if you have real Vertigo... cuz you won't be leaving the house! :woot: Have I told you I love you lately? :unibrow: |
pinout?
I thought Jody meant "printout" above.... I don't even know what means!
