Oh yeah - I was just teasing. That car is pretty awesome. Although probably not as much as most projects, I'm sure there was a fair amount of scope creep even on that car.

Your next project going to be AWD?

WSSix 12-18-2014 08:23 AM

Thanks for posting the link, Ron. What a great car.

65_LS1_T56 12-18-2014 11:59 AM

Built Ford tuff with Chevy stuff! No wonder they liked it. That's pretty cool Ron.

Wait til they see the AMX :relax:

Actually started measuring on the AMX, which would be doable. 335's all wheel drive= bad a$$. All until I started looking at transmission/transfer case. Wow, stupid money.

I think Rob Dickey put it best: Would you rather have a fast 2 wheel drive race car or a novelty all wheel drive one? I do think the all wheel drive car would be cool, just too expensive.

That's a great shot. Was cool to finally get to see this car in person. It was one of the first cars in the hotel parking lot and everyone that came in after commented on how cool it looked.

Looks like PK is having fun telling RS where to go! LOL

Love this car - the owner and his buddy aren't so bad either.

XOXO

Somebody needs to wash that thing, what a super fun and dirty weekend. It was great blowing the cob webs out, and hanging with the guys that built the hobby, (and Payton). lol

X2 Greg. I had a great time hanging out Ron and Payton too. The Muttstang is freakin awesome on the big track...RS took me out for a session. That G-force trans is crazy, like a grenade going off at each shift..watch your foot and legs on the tunnel though. Mine's a nice medium-well now

My pig is still dirty, but I drove it to work anyway! Thanks for the ride along again Ron. Next time, I'm wearing ear plugs and asbestos lined shoes :lmao:

It is the sticker! Hey, you're just doing your part to make America great again!

Hotrod1 05-27-2016 04:53 PM

The stance of your car is just fantastic, but the bumper sticker? Fantastic!!!! It makes it.

57hemicuda 05-27-2016 08:39 PM

Look at the bite on the front tires, good stuff, this car has NEVER had grip like that before.

You too, I need to get out more!!!!! Stinking responsibilities keep getting in the way, I'm lucky to make any events, and having the time to be prepared is out of the question. LOL

1coolC2 05-31-2016 01:27 PM

Its not the bumper sticker in that picture your gawking at Ron, its the butt of that awesome Nova lined up in front of you

I think your all looking at that Camaro driven by some young dude that's FAST.

WSSix 05-31-2016 07:28 PM

I like all the pics! Glad to see some action shots with the muttstang, Ron.

57hemicuda 05-31-2016 10:07 PM

Here ya go Jeff. I appreciate you sending me the pic, and yes, your Nova was in front of my Mustang.

Muscle car track pics with your buddies are cool, Mike's El Camino at VIR is one of my favorites.

Maybe :-)

There was indeed a turn he always could close on me, honestly thought he was gonna be able to pull me on the straight..... but the little Nova had some oats in the tank :guns:

No denying they moved like they were bolted together on the straights. In fact, you, me , and Rich looked like we were doing some synchronized swimming moves as close as we were. Fun going at it, when the cars are that close in power.

57hemicuda 06-10-2016 08:13 AM

Ran the Great Lake Muscle Car challenge over this past weekend, took third, but my favorite part of the weekend was Larry Woo and I in the back of the Farrington's Draggon Wagon. We were not belted in the back seat, so our weight was shifting from side to side on the autocross course. Sam Farrington wheeled is butt off, as Larry and I bounced around like a couple of bowling balls. The funny part was it was Sam's fastest run for the day, the pic shows the car pulling the front tire as the power is being laid down, and the weight is getting transferred. Fun stuff, thanks Sam for a great ride in the grocery getter.

Thank God the driver has a full-face helmet on - - that could have ruined what is an otherwise awesome picture! :poke:

Motorstate is one of the events that I really hate to miss. I'll just have to live vicariously by looking at the pics.

Someone compiled a video on this car build and posted it on You Tube. The guy spent a fair amount of time compiling it.

My favorite part is all the negative comments that are posted, I was really thinking about putting a Ford engine in this car, but after all the comments, I may just freshen the LS7. Reminded me of all the flaming hate mail I was getting while the car was being built, pissing off purists was a job for a while their. LOL

WSSix 04-28-2017 12:13 PM

lol, some people. That was a nice compilation video. Nice of the person to put that together.

57hemicuda 07-23-2018 03:09 PM

Over the weekend at the Motorstate Challenge I got to meet James Shipka and see the One Lap Camaro to my knowledge for the first time. With those cars competing, it was like 2008 all over again.

Highly vintage, from back in the day when people used to build things instead of hitting the easy button!

jarhead 07-25-2018 08:45 PM

As a Ford guy that's owned a few Chevy's I am not insulted, Heck you saved that car from it's ultimate demise.
A job well done in my opinion!

I had pondered the idea of putting an LS in my Torino due to finances & performance, but I am too old and ornery to put up with peoples SH...y comments. I think it would have lead to a cage match, lol.

Lets not forget to add --- back in the day when WINNING something wasn't the goal. It was to build something you loved and go have fun with it.

Yeah, back in the day when it was considered a win if you didn't have to load your car onto a trailer to go home!

57hemicuda 07-26-2018 05:07 AM

James's car is based in Indy right now. He did drive it a couple hours to Motorstate in Michigan which was awesome in my book. My ride was 12 hrs, my hearing is bad enough now from years of being around drag racing and 4 daughters. I don't think I could take the side exhaust for that long, pretty sure the car would do OK though. It is a "Hammer" to be used when needed LOL. If you notice I ran the exhaust all the way out the back on the AMC.

Ron, I'm not knocking you for trailering the Muttstang! Especially after I drove 6 hours to Good Guys Scottsdale in my Mustang with side exit exhaust. Pretty sure I suffered some minor, but permanent hearing loss, even with earplugs. Lost one of my earplugs on the way home, and was dizzy and almost fell out of my car when I got home. :lmao: I redid my exhaust after that.

57hemicuda 07-26-2018 03:58 PM

My favorite was when I was in Vegas for Optima. Payton King and I were driving my Mustang from SEMA to Pahrump in the middle of the night, 120 MPH, freezing cold, raining its ass off. I looked at Payton and said " I just turned 50" We both burst out laughing, yeah we'll never grow up.
