I ran the redline auto attack practice a couple months ago and puke my power steering in teh 100 degree temps. I was also out for the Optima Challenge with the car a couple weeks ago to spectate.

Rybar 11-20-2009 11:57 AM

Congrats, you gotta post some good finished pics of this car.

That video was hilarious, especially about the Zonda R

I threw the gal on the dyno today to see exactly what she had been running the last few weeks in California. At a measly 8lbs of boost... and crappy California 91 octane... she put down 754 rwhp... and 726ft lbs torque. Im pretty happy with that..... that is until we crank her up.:unibrow:

Now we are going to strip the front end off and put a more modern front sub under her. Then she has quite the schedule this spring. Some photo shoots... Goodguys event, Texas Mile, Maybe run the Silver State(im undecided), couple Autorama's...ect. Should be pretty fun.

here's a short video of the dyno......

Only 745RWHP and 726RWTQ?!?! C'mon, you can do better than that!! lol  JUST KIDDING! That's very stout for only 8lbs of boost and pump gas!! :wow: VERY NICE!!
I can only image what the numbers will be next after some more boost!:willy:

Vegas69 12-08-2009 04:29 PM

She sounds great! Even better in person.

You need to paint that intercooler black, it's distracting.

Greg...
The name is not ringing a bell.... however... im real good at forgetting names... and if i could place him in a certain situation... i probably would remember. Or if i put a face to the name.

awr68 12-08-2009 10:50 PM

Nice numbers Josh! What subframe are you going with?

He was (maybe still is) a skater for Billabong... Parents own the Wyland art galleries in Hawaii... I'm over here now... taking in the Eddie Aikau (ran today) - and the Billabong Pipeline (Thursday)... bought a piece of art from him the other night. We didn't talk skating - he was too busy selling  ... but later I found out he was/is a pretty serious skater. Just figured maybe you might have run across him sometime.

There are a bunch of shots with some super tech camera's. We shot the interior... the exterior.. sick driving shots.... HD video.... drive bye's...ect.
The crew at DC shoes has them. I have crappy satellite internet... so i can't download such big files... nor post them. Once DC puts them up on there new "oil leak" web site... they will all be there for your viewing pleasure...lol.

phillym5 01-09-2010 10:33 PM

Soooo......

Speed Tech has jumped on board and is going to make my Camaro that much better by providing a Subframe with all the bells and whistles!!

Im so stoked about this!!

Once the subframe arrives... we are going to do a full documentary on the "switch out" from my stock frame... to the new Speed Tech frame. Everything from the tear down... the swap.... to the reassemble.
Im thinking it would be cool to have here somewhere on the site so someone can see exactly what it entails to make the swap. (at least for a LS and T56)

The subframe should be to me 3-4 weeks... then a couple few days for the swap...

Big thanks to Roger over at Speed Tech!!

Mr.VENGEANCE 01-10-2010 10:02 AM

Thats the ticket, Josh.. now you can really maneuver that bad boy...

awr68 01-10-2010 11:33 AM

Vengeance....

I really need at least one of those canvases in my house.... pm me a price on what you might sell them for. Everything on your site is real nice. One of my favorites is the "Usual Suspects" piece. (i know its on a wall... but so sick).
My chick really like the "devil chick". And my daughter loves the flower pieces.

GregWeld 01-10-2010 12:16 PM

Josh --

Bout time you stepped up for some real handling! I knew you could do it!

That will be a real nice addition to your Camaro!

Vegas69 01-10-2010 01:16 PM

Nice upgrade Josh. I was thinking you already had the ATS spindles but remember messing around with you cotter pins. It's going to look so much better than that fugly stock frame you have in there.

We planned on doing it in 3 days....:unibrow:

But now.... since we are going to do such a thorough documentary... it will probably take longer. Im pretty excited though.

dlouie87 01-10-2010 11:20 PM

looks amazing. I saw this car on the iforged site.

ya but.... you'll need what? New brakes, new wheels (wider!), brake lines re done, every thing else that attaches to the front frame re done or modified... How about shocks? Need some new double adjustable ones for that new frame and then you have to match the back ones. I think your list will grow, from more then just swapping front frames.

Nope.... the wheels and brakes will just mount right up. Only a small portion of the brake line will need to be changed... Shocks are coming on the subframe.... thats the beauty of this Speed Tech frame.

Plan is... drop the current frame from the body with engine and all that still on it. Then just lift the motor and put it on the new frame... swap whatever needs to be swapped... then drop the body down on the newly assembled Speed Tech frame. It will be a lot of work.... but this is the fun stuff. Maybe.. just maybe i'll need to change a section of the exhaust...

We'll see... i guess... lol.

monza 01-11-2010 01:04 PM

But ... now you 'can' get wider wheels! So you kind of have too! Yep three days we'll see.

Vegas69 01-11-2010 01:21 PM

I take it your not swapping spindles if your keeping the same brakes?

By the way... the rear axle stopped leaking on its own............
