Bucketlist2012 01-07-2012 11:50 AM

Hey, i was just checking on your car..Any updates..

Looks like a Killer build..

70rs 01-08-2012 08:40 AM

No major updates at all. Be been working on stripping the body down and stocking up on parts and tools. I think I'm getting a welder next week so that will be a huge help.

  Getting parts coming can be the most stressful part! Get out there and start burnin holes with that welder :D

waynieZ 01-09-2012 06:06 PM

Welder. Thats a sweet addition to the tool arsenal.

waynieZ 01-09-2012 06:08 PM

I like the red then the silver, but I don't think you could go wrong with any of them.

Thanks Wayne. But I'm going blue. Lol

I just got the welder last night. Burns coming soon!

70rs 01-10-2012 03:29 PM

So I found out progress will slow/stop again for a couple months. I'm having another surgery on my shoulder on the 18th. I scheduled it last night.
Arthroscopy and claviculectomy. (relocating my bicep tendon/right shoulder)
In the mean time I can still collect parts. ;)

Gotta love a Miller Welder!

The best burns are weld something overhead with an open neck shirt and tennis shoes.... the little bb's jump into your shoes or burn thru the thin nylon tops and then stick between your toes! Do NOT jump around - the quality of the weld is the ONLY important part of the job! That little bit of skin will grow back! Ya Big baby! :wow: :D

I'm going to try that open neck tip Greg. I bet I end up with better scars that way. ;)

Seriously, I do appreciate the welding tips. It's been a LONG LONG TIME since I had a chance to ruin good sheet metal......

Good luck with the surgery Eric. As stated in my message to you, you must be so sick of hospitals/doctors/surgeries. I wish for a quick and full recovery for you. Take care buddy and let us know how it went.
(By the way. Thanks again for the awesome t-shirt. I wear it almost every weekend. )

70rs 01-19-2012 08:01 AM

Well I had the surgery went well. The shoulder block has worn off. Now the real pain is coming through. Not fun. But the whole thing will be worth it in the long run .

GregWeld 01-19-2012 08:07 AM

Good to hear it went well Eric.....

Pain is a mindset... that's not pain - that's healing! :unibrow:

ma73z 01-19-2012 08:10 AM

Glad your surgery went well Eric, hope you have a speedy recovery.

Which shoulder is it and how long was the surgery? Sounded like it was pretty complex when we spoke last.
Glad things went well today buddy. Hang in there. Get some rest and you'll be back in no time!

It took about 2 hours. They drilled 9mm x 25mm hole at the top of my right arm. Then they cut the tendon lose from inside the shoulder, stuffed the end in that hole they drilled and put what's called a "sugar screw" in over the tendon .
Then they cut out a few sections of the rotator cuff and labrum (sp?).
This is the 4th time I've had this right shoulder worked on. The tendon issue is a first, I hope it makes a difference this time.

I'm still trying to get the other shoulder approved for surgery too. Along with both wrists and both elbows need nerve release procedures too.

Well Eric, it would be nice to have the other shoulder surgery listed on your app, but we're goin' to let you squeak by with this little procedure anyways. :(

Hi Eric,

Just jumped in here and see you are doing well. Glad to hear it. I know what you mean about when the block wears off the real pain sets in.

Feel better my friend.
