We unveiled the Giveaway are at Goodguys Scottsdale. then Goodguys took it to Ft Worth, Pleasanton and Del Mar. After Del Mar it got dropped off at my shop to stay here for 2 months. We are going to get a few bugs worked out and get it ready to go to Colorado in June to get back on the show circuit.
In these pics you can see John from Goodguys asking me to be professional and do an interview. It was not as bad as you might think. Then they asked Kenny a few questions. Once again not as bad as you might think. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2011026.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2011027.jpg Then they pulled the cover off. Kenny and I tried it around the autocross and few times and figured our best tuning mod would be seat belts. Sorry no pics of that. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2011028.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2011030.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2011031.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2011035.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...h2011036-1.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2011037.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2011018.jpg |

The Bel Air came out awesome. Looks great.
Nice colors as well. |
The nova is for a local guy who has us do certain apects of the build he is unable to do. We have worked on 3 of his projects and most cars come to us 2-3 times as the project progresses to get items he can't or does not want to do in different stages. I heard it is coming back now that he has all the small parts where he wants. I will keep you update dated on it now that I know someone on here likes gassers.

Well guys thing shave been pretty busy around here lately. We delivered the Donkey Kong camaro project to Alan Palmer's customs in Camarillo Ca. He does real nice work.
http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...ary2011023.jpg We have gotten the chassis for the 48 chevy back from the coater and getting everything installed on the chassis. We made quite a few last minute changes. The customer decided that an LSX-376 would work much better then the old stock LS1. We then had to build some better headers to fit the application. He decided the stock control arms were not quite what he wanted. So We made some new ones. The bushings in the control arms were not quite what he thought needed to be there, so we got some Delrin that is prelubed to make more solid bushings. This truck has really coming together nicely. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2011015.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2011082.jpg The body work is coming together nicely. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...vyepoxy006.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...vyepoxy011.jpg The final assembly on the chassis is coming together nicely. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...May2011037.jpg This is picture of the engine and chassis color with a picture to decide which hoses to run. The customer is currently overseas and wants to stay involved. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...May2011045.jpg I like the green hose, On everything. Bu the Green injectors need to go. |
Here are some more complete pics of the Chassis as it is coming together.

We are also doing another, Simple Truck for the same customer. this truck is actually for Frank's son in law, Andy. It will be flat black cruiser with the majority of just old parts Frank decided not to use in his build.
http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2011052.jpg We set up the old LS1 engine and 4L60E trans and used the welders series mustang II crossmember with ride tech arms to just build a basic front end and be able to use some of the ditched parts from his 48 truck build. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2011020.jpg |
The Firewall on the Cognito Motorsports 56 chevy is coming together nicely. We built some firewall supports and smoothed everything up.
http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...ril2011028.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...ril2011029.jpg We have begun construction of the exhaust and headers to fit this 540 big block into this monster. |

Looks awesome Roger. What valve covers are those on the truck motor? Also, which serpentine kit is that? They both look amazing.

Well in case you have not heard we also were able to pick up this rig from the marketing company that does all of BFG's stuff. It is 2000 Freightliner with a Big Cat engine and only 360,000 miles. It has a 53 for Featherlight trailer with lift gate on the back. It is set up to haul 5 cars. It can easily hand cars up to 63". That is rare option. I found this truck on a smokin deal in South Carolina from Keith the driver for DSE. He used to drive this truck. One of my Customers flew out to S.C. and drove it back from me. We are about ready to get the vinyl logos done to get them on the truck before Colorado.
http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...May2011064.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...May2011063.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...May2011061.jpg Here is rough what the logo will look like. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...on-w-mock6.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t.../DSC00271a.jpg I guess I have to got my Class A license now. I'm thinking about powder coating the wheels black and leaving the chrome center caps and log nut covers. It would be kinda old school and look a bit more customized. |
NICE HAULER!!!!!!!
