Last update for now was from today! Felt like Christmas day!
:ups: Hard to believe it all fits in this small box. Weighed under 30lb! http://i.imgur.com/RfJvGk1.jpg Seems well packaged! http://i.imgur.com/TyWKwwT.jpg http://i.imgur.com/1UCgThs.jpg Turbos look NICE! They're SMALL but I guess the cars I've been around are either big singles or HUGE power cars...These are baby turbos! http://i.imgur.com/YRhokJ2.jpg You can see the TiAL stainless turbine housing here http://i.imgur.com/oWBR9YQ.jpg Antisurge Compressor housing http://i.imgur.com/PLeZtHQ.jpg Matched pair :) http://i.imgur.com/dcK8egG.jpg The whole family together for a photo http://i.imgur.com/alXO7me.jpg William |
That thing looks super cool,
Do they use special type welding rod on items that get anodized ? Thinking anodizing my set up as well it's just too much bling., |
To be honest I'm no expert in that field. I know Autorad doesn't do anodizing anymore. I'll have it done locally.

That is one sweet set up !! Its going to be awesome.
|
Can't wait to see it all come together
|
Nice updates!
Keep us posted on your build. That is going to be beastly. :confused18: |
Dang so. You are all in and I'm happy for you.

Car is on the lift, rearend pulled back out of it for underside painting/coating. Hoping to get that done this week and get the rear pulled apart to replace the gears (4.10s to be replaced with 3.50s).
Get that all done and spec the rear wheels. Excited to get this going and make some progress. I'll get pictures up soon! William |
Well according to GAP my radiator/intercooler setup shipped so looking forward to receiving that in the near future (was scheduled for 4/21 so little ahead).
Went to GAP the past few days to work on the car a bit and get the bottom finished up. We pulled the rearend out and set it aside so we had good access to the bottom of the car. I went to prepping any areas showing surface rust and knocking down any high points in the patch panels that had been done. All looking good now! We went from this: http://i.imgur.com/FJ3g3Pp.jpg To this: http://i.imgur.com/ZrQwf9L.jpg http://i.imgur.com/0wwHTOx.jpg http://i.imgur.com/jTgRqo5.jpg Back down on the ground on the roller wheels, waiting to test fit some nice wheels. May order wheels at the end of this week/beginning of next. http://i.imgur.com/FQJwVNa.jpg http://i.imgur.com/HvBLjjo.jpg William |
 Little by little, it's moving in the right direction. It's looking really good.
What did you guys shoot the bottom with? |
Just spray in bed liner. Was going to use Lizard Skin but wanted something more durable and black (without painting it after application). I'll be putting in dynamat so thermal/noise insulation will be taken care of.

Little more test fitting going on today...

Planning to use the Holley Dominator ECU.

Looking good Will.
Nice to work so close to the shop, to just stop by every once in a while and see things in person. |
Tim can attest, i'm there all the time. I'm determined to spin some wrenches on this thing. GAP is letting me do so, so I've found a perfect partner for this project.
We got some parts on order today (big parts) and measured for the rear wheels for the tire I want to run. I'm excited! William |
Test fitting the 345/35/18 MT DR.
Looks like 18x12 w/ 6.25" BS is the ticket. http://i.imgur.com/jOt0S3b.jpg http://i.imgur.com/NYd8zbb.jpg http://i.imgur.com/wf61NwN.jpg William |
We test fit the 355/30/19 last night too. Its tight but it will work.
|
Well a few updates since the last post.
Should have all the stuff I need to stab the powertrain in the next couple weeks! William |
Got a big shipment of parts in today!
http://i.imgur.com/OjolykY.jpg Several boxes there. I didn't get pictures of some of the stuff but that's a full set of March Pullies, ATI Super Damper, waterpump, alternator, a/c, etc. The other boxes are the Autorad setup! Autorad setup: http://i.imgur.com/J5QMR8j.jpg http://i.imgur.com/sURroFZ.jpg This is just a mock up as all this will be coated black. Not shown are the closeout panels, etc. My Mast Black Label heads were supposed to show up but they got delayed a day. They'll arrive tomorrow. Clutch will be picked up with the heads tomorrow. Already picked up the ID1300 injectors! William |
That AutoRad setup is rad! OK, horrible joke, but it is still a work of art!

More parts showed up Friday. Still no Clutch, motor, trans or gas tank, but every little thing is another step closer!
Mast Black Label 256cc LS3 heads. They had these to me in 2 days! Fitted with solid stainless valves and .700lift beehive springs. 69cc combustion chambers. Should give me around 9.75:1 compression on the 427 :) http://i.imgur.com/WSbqdnQ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/iRgWN0a.jpg http://i.imgur.com/FeBw8Zh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/9Wa3Ho1.jpg http://i.imgur.com/pPEkugT.jpg http://i.imgur.com/mrtLvYr.jpg http://i.imgur.com/VYNUTLp.jpg?1 Also got the Holley Dominator EFI on order so that will be coming soon!
