Had no space for reverse lights so I made these http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8ba76b4a.jpg Nu-relics are in , fit like a charm. Trying to make sure it all plays good together, weather stripping , glass , door lines etc. let me tell you it's a B?(); to get rolled up glass to close correctly without pinching the weather stripping and I'm having a bit of an issue with quarter window. It has to much play at rollers on the top end. But with all those available adjustment options from GM I'll find the combo. Outer fuzzies are just laying on there for gap purpose Also working on building rear quarter interior panels to go with seat belts. Used perforated aluminum for structure http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps71c56d45.jpg |
got more parts and less money

Way to go BIG, Frankie!
|
Those wheels are sweet!
|
Thanks for the complements fellas.
Now the tire question , I'm planning I using this 90% street use and most likely never on the rain. looking at new toyo r888's any thoughts on why not and any other options |
You will love the toyo's they are awesome I use them on my car same as what you plan to. I even got caught in heavy rain and there were no issues with the tires. They actually hook extremely well in my opinion.
|
Love this car!
That Radiator looks Sexy in there!!
Tires: The R888 are really sticky, but the continental DWS are also very good...last a little longer as well |

Placed order about 2 months ago and got these teterday http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...psd6cb0933.jpg http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...pse6b82104.jpg Got a bunch of other stuff done , wiring has been more work than I ever thought . Running out if room for all these different control modules. Installing guard dog IKEY RS set up and vaporworks control module. Battery ( odyssey 1500) going on soon , just debating a few wiring issues. Got ilumin8 LED turn signals / daytime running lights. Toyos look good but do to the fronts being 10" I'm going to have to raise car a bit more than I wanted to for clearance , 14" wilwoods fit perfect in there. Still making changes on the dash and under the hood as needed. Hope to crank this thing up soon http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps195b24be.jpg http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps562da0a9.jpg http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0a7b0cab.jpg |
Dayum Frank the stance is siiiiiiiick!!! Love it
|
great progress Frank, stance is perfect:thumbsup:
|
Frank, The wheels and tires look sick on there, Nice choice. Did you make the close out for the air intake or buy it? I'll be needing one for my car.
|
Frank
Let me know when you're ready to light the fire! |
Frank,
Where are those LED'S from? The car looks mean just sitting there. |
Tx fellas
Wayne . Yes I made everything from the throttle body to air filter.. Thinking of making a few complete sets ( all HPS clamps, silicones, air stack ,hardware, gaskets etcc ) ready to bolt on. It will only need to weld two tabs and drill a 1/4 hole on fender as seen on pic. Just waiting to actually try it with MAF in that location, will be using air straightner at the stack in hopes it will enough to get accurate air readings. Also made a matching passenger side , using to clamp the hoses and hide the AC dryer. Jay info for lights , it's just LEDs with bracket I supply the socket because needed clearance, stock was hitting heat exchanger http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...psbd94fbcd.jpghttp://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...psd7b31305.jpghttp://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps84850db5.jpghttp://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps509fee3c.jpg |
battery is in , every connection is crimpped and soldered , wiring is finally done. still nipping and tucking
right hand man walking the job .http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0d28dae8.jpghttp://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps32674068.jpghttp://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6ab1ae82.jpg |

Love those CF back seats...
|
Wow the car is really coming along I can't wait to see more pics.
|
Really nice build! Love all the detail work and craftsmanship. Quick question on your battery wiring.... I too, put the battery in the trunk and ran the positive cable to a bulkhead in the firewall. It would appear that you have grounded the battery to the trunk floor, did you run a negative cable to the front of the vehicle as well??
Thanks, Dave |

Check this guy out http://www.w8ji.com/battery_wiring.htm I would still like negative to have s high amperage fuselink but could not find one.incase of pinch due to accident , to avoid total meltdown http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps91c17f54.jpgi http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps85cbf8c2.jpg http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5fb76fce.jpg http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6377d0dc.jpg What some of the grounds look like from body to sub ( weld nuts on both ends and covered with dielectric grease, final will Ss bolts and ground washers |

#6 goes to fuse box , big gauge positive does not have a mega fuse but will be looking into a large enough fuselink on the ground side to protect it.
Take the time to read this http://www.w8ji.com/battery_wiring.htm Lots of info in there |
very nice!! where did you get the wiper/light knobs? i have seen them on other builds and they are a nice upgrade from the oem's
|
Attention to detail is top notch on this build. Nice work
