I'M new here love the car . just seen this thread.have you done any autocross before.just tr'd my first couple times.?!???! How many months a year do yu get to drive?
love the way it sits, and your buddy's turbo car is sweet! that thing had to sound wicked:D
Thanks guys, it was ton of fun. I was suprised how well the car hooked at the track, I wanted to try some more runs but the clouds were rolling in and we were hungry lol. And I am not on the brakes in the 1/4, my brake pedal for some reason sticks a tiny bit and makes the lights come on. Must have happened when I was shifting. I have a video, I will upload it to youtube.
As for the other cars, the red vette runs 10.20's and and the blue Camaro pulled on him on one run. The Blue car is fast, but because of the turbo's sounds more docile. The red vette sounded like Grave Digger blipping the throttle, the Viper GTS has straight pipes and full exhaust and sounds pretty crazy and the orange 69 has an aluminum block 572 and just incinerates it's tires at will. There were a few more guys that could make it out like Raj from this site he's almost finished his Max-G 69 and my other buddy Paul who built the sick Bandit Trans Am also on this site. |
Worthy....

That's awesome! Love the pictures.
Looks great, Ryan. That Candy paint of yours always looks great out in the sun!
Damn that color looks fantastic in the sun. It must be increadible in person.
I love those driving shots too. |
Awesome pics
You have a very nice car.... awesome shots!
The car looks great. Looks like you had some other nice looking cars there too.
Very nice!
Hey Ryan, thanks for sharing. That first motion shot of your ride going down the road is just gorgeous. Love that stance on your ride also. I'm working on getting my rear down a bit this week actually and seeing your stance reminds me of what I'm aiming for. And then there's those wheels of yours. You mentioned a while back when you were starting this updates thread that the FM5s fit the Camaro perfectly and I could not agree more. They match your car flawlessly. Lookin sharp!
Great pics. My fave is that rear shot. Very menacing.
And the FM5's look perfect on there. |
Lookin' good Ryan! Thanks for sharing.

Awesome pics Ryan and your car's got a killer stance.
Haha thanks guys. I guess it's not really an update post but cool none the less.
I, like Greg Weld enjoy the company of car people, so it's cool to get together with a bunch of local gearheads and have some fun. |
Love it man... the rolling shots especially.
One of my favorites on the board. Those Fikses get me everytime! :hail: |
Great pics of the cruise Rybar. Your car looks great. Wicked color in the sun!
Your car is very beautifull!:hail:
That gold '68, is that a member here or anything you know of? Mine was originally gold and that sort of makes me think...
I'd like to see some more shots of it. Your car? x10  |

Yeah, I used to think I could never go back to gold... key words, "used to"...
That is one of the nicest looking gold Camaros I have ever seen. TwistMachine has another but I really like the nostalgic looking stripes on your buddies. Thanks for sharing those. |
We'll winter mods have begun.
She's off to get a new heart put in. Swapping in the HKE Forged 383 shortblock and putting my top end on it. Will have a stock LS1 complete motor and my Texas Speed cam for sale soon. Been very happy with the results from Patrick G and Geoff at EPS Engine Power Systems so they spec'd me a new cam for the 383: 235/242 .638/.615 113 LSA Last time the little 346 that could was run: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...0117-00253.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...0117-00251.jpg Off to the shop http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...0117-00255.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...0117-00256.jpg 346 is already out next day: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...0118-00500.jpg |
HKE as in Houston Texas HKE? What kind of power are you shooting for with the new engine?
good luck with new motor, car looks great even with the smoke
Way to go Ry! You will enjoy the 383. Smart approach too. Is your fuel system up to the task?

Yes Erick at HKE built my engine and quite a few for my buddies. People send him engines from all over the United States. http://hkracingengines.com/ |
Sounds like the engine upgrade is really going to ratchet things up a bit. I may have said it before, but your thread should be bookmarked for anybody that needs to see what the proper stance on a 69 should be. Your car nails it.
Yeah buddy this is gonna be fun. :guns:
Nice Ryan! Can't wait to see it run in April!
Nice
The cam they have specked for you, is it a good street cam, and what heads intake will you be using, 500 RWHP thats pretty stout for a 383, and could you post up all the info on the motor as well. I might be going that way also, I have a 383 block for my 69 that came with it, nothing special just two bolt main, LS not in the picture rite now.. for my project. Thanks Keith
