Now we're moving on to the most important build. Trevor's car Genesis. :woot: Here's a cellphone video. The sound does not do her justice. Click the image. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2..._VIDEO0004.jpg |
YEAH!!!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!!
|
Alchemy is complete.
I want to thank Dick, Jon, Jesus, Eric and Dean for doing such a great job on my car. The BOS men are amazing. Here she is just before taking her down the Del Dios Highway to Good Guys at Del Mar. I am still in shock. The car is a phenomenal ride. Drives like it's on rails. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...c/DSCN1588.jpg Here she is parked at home for the first time. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...c/DSCN1605.jpg Notice the lack of a front spoiler. My wife was a little aggressive around a corner that had a dip. I ordered a few replacement spoilers. Something tells me we're gonna need extras around. The car is sitting really low at the moment. It has settled a lot. We're going to raise it an inch or so soon. |
Man I love the fit and finish!
I had a local carbon guy make up one based off of a Rushforth design that is an inch shorter for that very reason http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...%20z28/176.jpg he has the mold to make more if you are interested- Chris |

Looks awesome great job! So when does the next project start?
|
Congratulation's on your first drive with the car all done. Just like everything I've seen come out of BOS, they did an awesome job. Plus perfect timing so you could go to Del Mar. I'm happy for you and best part you got to go with your son.
|
Congratulations on a exciting time. Enjoy the hell out of her. The color is amazing!!!!

Trevor's build has actually already started. I'll prompt him again to begin his build thread. He's really busy with school and karate. The summer is right around the corner and he's going to be spending a lot of time working on his car. He only has four years to finish it. But seriously, he will be much more involved in the build of his car than we were in building mine. Lots of busted knuckles. Trevor is really stoked now that he is a celebrity. Got his picture in Camaro Performers. |

I think its awesome that you took the jump into the Muscle car world and have this great father-son connection via a car build  The car is outstanding. What a great overall look. Glad i was in the right spot as you two cruised in to Del Mar to snap those pics. Cant say enough nice things about Best of Show either. Great group of Guys. Tom |
Congrats Bryan. What a killer looking ride. Glad you got to enjoy it with your son.

|
Oh So Sweet!
|
That's impressive Bry for an LS2. Should be enough to burn up some tires...
|
Very nice Bryan.
|
Those are some healthy numbers Bryan. So when are you gonna toss me the keys (preferably on an autocross, but I won't be picky)? :unibrow:

BTW, Jean read my text messages and says she and Shrek are gonna kick yer butt when you return from Vegas. |
WOW! A little over a year on the road since that awesome shop Best of Show Coachworks completed my car. Thanks for the memories guys. :hail:
Nothing particularly exciting to report other than I'm working on 14,000 miles. Just can't drive Alchemy enough. I did make a cosmetic change to the car engine bay recently. I was always envious of the Katech setup Aqua Girl and Bad Penny have. Also, put in a Momo steering wheel. Here's some cell phone pics. Lat-G rocks! Thanks for providing the great education guys!! We're on to Trevor's car now. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...28_2159271.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...28_2158301.jpg |
Looks great Bryan. Nice to see you driving it so much.
|
14K in a year....That's awesome!!
:D |
Wow 14,000 mile in one year? Man if that was leased car you would be over by 2000 lol
That's great you get to drive so much. |

Those are the kind of miles most of us here just dream of putting on their PT vehicle. |
Bryan,
What pedal setup are you running? Nice to see you enjoying the car, thread was a good read. Jack |
Thanks Jack.

Kind of an update:
Speed Tech will be installing a LS7 motor and a McLeod RST clutch once Texas Speed sends them the completed engine. Derek, of Texas Speed, sent a couple of pics of the crank being balanced. The block is third in line before it gets into the CNC machine for blueprinting. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...LS7/photo2.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...LS7/photo1.jpg |
