Beautiful Roadster and love the stance on that Nomad. That Nomad interior is very very tasteful. Nicely done!

Here is a 61 Starliner that we just completed a custom Fast Track chassis for. We were able to build a driect replacement chassis that greatly lowered the ride height, can handle the John Kaase Boss 429 motor, accomodated a 12" wide rear wheel, and utilized all of the stock mounting locations with no modifications.
We have been uploading all of our custom chassis to a new section on our web site dedicated to the unique, custom, and 1-off chassis builds that we have done over the years. http://www.roadstershop.com/custom-chassis Original car http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture218592.jpg Original chassis http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture219613.jpg Mocking up the body on the new frame in order to test fitment http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture219623.jpg Completed chassis http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture220142.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture220164.jpg |

Another busy week coming to an end. We have 2 new arrivals in the turn key build side. Both are very unique vehicles and should be great builds.
First is a 63 Fairlane. The plan for the exterior is 100% bone stock. We are having 1-off wheels CNC'ed to look like the original low option hub caps only in 18" diameter. This car is going to be the ultimate sleeper with a Jon Kaase Boss 429 engine with 8 stack EFI and Roadster Shop Fast Track IFS/IRS chassis. Just getting started on the disassembly and chassis design this week. Approximate ride height the customer is looking for. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ideHeight2.jpg Disassembled and fixtured on a chassis table to start the frame build. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture220395.jpg Mock up of the Boss 429 http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture220325.jpg |
The second is a 66 Suburban for a local customer. He really liked what we did with the 57 Suburban we did last year and wanted something similar. We are just going through the planning phase now so a lot of things are still up in the air. It is looking like a large cubic inch big block will be the power source. Currently trying to balance drivability with the big HP numbers he is looking for. Full Fast track chassis, 6 speed auto, shaved and smoothed exterior with a few subtle body mods that are still being worked out. More to come soon!

We were also able to wrap up the 70 C-10 and get that off to upholstery. Here are a few better shots of the truck than I posted last week. Still need to fab up inner fenders and finish the dress up on the motor when it comes back from upholstery.

Looking great, can't wait to see more pics of these builds.

Outstanding!
I really like the enthusiasm for each project that comes out in your post. |
I love that C-10, can't wait to see it finished.

The Starliner was picked up last week and headed back to Michigan where the customer will be completing the car I will try to get some updates along the way or have them post some pictures as it progresses. it should be a reall nice build. Here are a few shots before it left.

Another exciting new arrival was dropped off when the Starliner was picked up. This has been a personal favorite for quite some time and we are really excited to have a 59 El Camino in the shop. This car will be getting one of our Fast Track production chassis for the 58-64 Impala's. Power will be from either a LS3 or an LSA. The owner is looking to have a reliable, unique, and fun daily driver.

Here are a few shots of the interior on our C10 truck that just came back from upholstery yesterday. We wanted to keep the interior inline with the exterior of the truck. So we started with Stock 70 Chevelle buckets and the original factory center console. The seats were slimmed down and then bolstered more than the originals. Everything was then wrapped in black leather with hound's tooth inserts in the seats. A few more details to wrap up and this one is completed.

Nice! And best of all - it looks just like something the factory should have offered.
As usual -- just superb. |

wow that is some engine....Who makes it?
|
WOW!!!!! But we need more than just a picture  Come on! I think I will be in your area next week, I need to stop in and check that out?
|
The motor is for a pretty cool project we are working on:
http://www.delahayeusa.com/bellafiguracoupe.html http://www.delahayeusa.com/bellafigu...dstershop.html The motor is a V16 loosely based on a BBC design. Heads and intake are LS based but re-worked for more HP. Cast aluminum block, crank, pistons etc. There were only 2 of these in the world which were built for an offshore power boat. They were originally around 1700hp and pushed the boat to a record close to 200mph but this one has been de-tuned to 1000hp for the car! |
Thanks for the extra info. I love it....we will require a video when its running.
|
That engine is wild!! , truck should be blast as well with those grippies
|
We ended up getting a little carried away with this truck recently. The original plan was to build it as a a cruiser with some AutoX capabilities. Our Mustang track car is not completed yet and needed something to play with for the beginning of the summer so....
We pulled out the 400 HP LS6 and replaced it with a 565 HP LS3. Pulled out the 9" and installed a Speedway Mod Lite Floater with Wave Trac posi. Changed the 225 front tires to 345's and the mini-tubbed the bed to replace the current rear 295's with 345's as well. Adding almost 10" of rubber to the front end of the truck should make a pretty significant difference! |
That looks pretty wicked Phil :hail:

A few more updates on the C-10 now that it is just about wrapped up.
Out with the old..... http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...10/photo-1.jpg In with the new... Turn Key Engines 585 HP LS3 and TKO-600. And a little bit of tire in there as well! http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture223661.jpg New Speedway Mod Lite floater with Wilwood 13" brakes. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...10/photo-2.jpg Mini-tubbed the bed to get the wider tires int eh back and then finally got around to bed lining it for a nice clean finish. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture223623.jpg 345/30R19's on Forgeline's on the front. Full turning radius, no modifications to the body or suspension, and 13.8" of rubber on each side! http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture223667.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...10/photo-4.jpg A nice comparison of the original front tires and the new front tires. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture223701.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture223675.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture223685.jpg |
