Congrats on the final 5. I thought the car was as nice and clean looking as any 69 that I've seen. It was definitely the best 69 At the show imho

I'm writing this in a hotel room in the middle of Iowa. It's been an extremely busy month leading up to Columbus and I'm finally able to reflect on everything. Ive never been to "the big show", the car was virtually untested with about 4 or 5 miles on it,suspension setup was a wag, and i've never run an autocross before not to mention with someone else's expensive car! To say the least, I was a bit nervous.Well everything went pretty damn good. Although the heat was unbelievable, we were able to cruise the grounds with the AC on and no issues. After an easy first lap in the auto x the car felt very well and reminds me of a new vette the second lap was a moderate run due to I didnt want to push my luck but boy was it tempting! Im extremely happy with the balance and feel of the suspension even with no tweaking yet. The top 5 pick was the icing on the cake and I'm honored at the positive response we got. Congrats to RB on their win as it was well deserved, when i saw that car at SEMA i knew that was the next SMOTY. It was great meeting a lot of you and hope to make the trek there again someday with hopefully different weather conditions! Thanks everyone!

Wow !
The car and workmanship was stunning Steve ! I took tons of pictures and drooled over all the great work in design and layout of all the systems and parts. The interior is well executed and looks like a current vette/camaro in materials choices. A couple of us had a lot of fun trying to figure out how you'd get the engine bay sheetmetal out with all those hidden fasteners smoothed and tucked away so nicely. Well done and you should be very proud !
Get some rest and soak up the well deserved kudos !   Jim |

Check those parting lines, gaps, hidden fasteners and color/finish selections - even the rolled edge coming off the firewall into the removable hood hinge cover matched perfect - beautiful Steve !

X1000 Jim thanks for posting the detail shots. That's what I like, it's seeing all the detail workmanship that goes into these builds. Sometime I take so many detail shots, I forget to take pics of the actual car, LOL. |
Insane....:hail:

Congrates Steve! Awesome job on all the details.. Looking forward to seeing this car in person..

We got home early this morning. I did 2200 miles in 62 total hours on the way home. My ankles were swollen last night when I went to bed from sitting so much yesterday. I was so happy to hear it is a dry 108 today when I got home. Not that heat indexed 114 some one said it was over the weekend. |

you suck as a truck driver .... AWWWWWee my ankles are swolen. ...............lol Nice car Steve |

That includes sleeping. Or 52 MPH average when not counting sleep. I got 18 hours of sleep in 60 hours. |

Really expensive customer's car and concrete barriers...Metal fencing... Newbie and untested car.. You should not be embarrassed. If something would have happened, you would be in trouble and a lot of hard work would be messed up. The other guys are driving their own cars.:lateral:  |
I plan to Autocross the snot out of my car soon..
No big tracks without a roll bar...I have seen to many high speed wrecks and I need to prepare my car for those.. Pleasanton is coming, and you will see me there. I am getting healthy, and soon i will test your work on my car...  |
