Some how i missed the updated pics. Waaaay nice dude!!!!
So, if the muttstang and camaro reside next to each other in the garage, will they get along? or will one of them just not start or move mysteriously? Anyways, the rendering is one of my fave's, but the color combo won't be that? |

I guess its time for an update after a couple hundred some hours of body work and paint prep. this last month has been a great experience, of, once again learning why custom stuff takes so long. I'm thinking 10X the cost of a "bolt on" parts.
I had to make the bottom part of the rear bumper as well as build some lines to transition from the quarter extensions. Fun. http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/o...pshzbon5az.jpg http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/o...psceouqgon.jpg Jon pretty much sanded his ass off for a month and a half straight to get the car ready for paint, before heading back home to Hawaii. http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps4dxfthgr.jpg http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/o...psupnrjauf.jpg http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/o...psvuvor94g.jpg http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps9vzhrbjm.jpg http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/o...psqub1ihxn.jpg http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps0hoggyw1.jpg Ok, now for colors! I've probably been driving myself, and everyone I know, crazy trying to find a white and blue that I think works together to create a vintage feel like the original Wimbledon White/Guardsman Blue cars. the '65 GT350s are iconic cars, and I think we can all close our eyes and imagine what they look like, which is great, but wimbledon white actually looks kind old, dirty, and brown in person, especially on an entire car. I never realized a lot of the newer whites lean towards a grayish, greenish tint, which isn't what I was looking for, so we did a couple spray outs and picked this color on the right of the test panel. It's just a tiny bit less brown, and a little brighter than Wimbledon white, which was the original color of the car, BTW. http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/o...psojwo5lhi.jpg http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/o...psfgus8c2s.jpg http://i366.photobucket.com/albums/o...psakrpdrgl.jpg |
Go Matt Go!
Looking real good buddy. |
It's just fabulous! Good choice and reasoning on the white. I'm only pissed because Jon is laying on the beach now and I'm not.

Love the shade...congratulations, Matt!
Excellent choice! John |
Looks great Matt!!

That looks sweet Matt! You've done an excellent job. I can't wait to see it on the ground all painted with the wheels and tires on it.

Greg, you should go to the big Island. It is a place of miracles. The island has managed to turn Jon into a happy grump. |
