I have 4.10's in my SS with a 275/40/17 (25.66"). The ZF has a 0.5:1 OD ratio in 6th, and I turn 2400 RPM at 80 mph. It's perfect.

If I were to run a 29" tire, I would need a 4.63:1 ratio to keep the overall ratio the same.

ps ill post a pic showing the resivors w the cowl on it looks pretty cool the you can only see the bottle levels.

First gear is very usable, but you dont stay in it long. It's great to get the tires smokin good and then go to second to hunt ditches.:woot:

few pics, starting to work on tne front end. had to make a rad support because ive made so many changes .the rad & cond are low in the frame to keep room for the intake work. i used a hood from a 07 tahoe and skinned it,i had to glue it and use pillar foam to keep the tissue paper like skin from warping then tacked it in place till the glue sets up. thanks for checking in bill

Hi Bill, awesome job you are doing. If my truck looks 1/10 of what yours is going to be I'll be one happy camper. I have '68 C10 also that I'm putting an LS2 and a 6 speed automatic tranny in. I have the motor already and will buy the tranny in approx 6 months if my budget allows. If money gets funny I will go with a 4L80. Also, for wheels I plan on 3-piece 22x9 up front & 22x12 out rear. I'm just buying parts right now though. Keep up the good work. Your truck is sick!!!!!!!

Oh Bill, by the way....I may have to steal that little tailgate spoiler idea from you. LOL!! By the way, on a serious note, I'll wait until your truck is finished though because my project is far behind yours. Can I send you my tailgate and you make me a spoiler like that??:hail:

Hood looks good. I really like it. I'm interested to see if you do some sort of engine cover. I want to do one for my 6.2L, but I'm not 100% sure what to do yet...

Details!

Love how the hood and roof now mimic each other! It's all in the details!
