Car is looking good

Can't tell what type of balancer is on the car just make it's not rubber based as the heat from the exhaust pipe can and will melt if the car gets hot and is sitting stuck in traffic.

ps - ask me how I know about this one

Funny... i just left a message to Brian who's building it. I brought that up to him.

Do you think exhaust wrap would be enough to keep the heat off it?

can't hurt -

We switched mine over to ATI Super Dampener from the Fluid Dampener. Even though mine wasn't a huge concern since my exhaust was no where near.

On many single turbo applications when the cross-over goes from drivers side to passenger side that is when they become a problem.

Same thing goes for mufflers on a tubo appication. Lesson learned was along bullet type muffer will work better them a short rectangular muffler.

Thanks for the info. It was difficult to find a good area to run the manifold but it is actually just a bad camera angle that makes it look much closer than it really is. We are running a 7" ATI Suoer Damper as well as Cool It header wrap and there is about 2" of clearence. I think that should be enough with the wrap we'll see. Trial by fire I guess!

LOL - Fire is never a good thing but in this case i think it will be more of a molten mess if there is a problem.

I agree 2" should help especially with the wrap

Scot, thanks in advance for letting me use your wheels for a few hours to check the gapping, ride height and snap some pics. My wheels should arrive Friday. Can’t wait to meet you in person at SEMA.

The car is primed and in the process of being final-blocked. The hood you see in the pictures is a stock hood, not our modified hood. We get that back on Friday and took the time to make molds of the scoops in case other people want to modify their formula hood to something more aggressive.

We decided to remove the stock hood latch so that the intake pipes can come straight out toward the front and down into the intercoolers. We are installing two flush-mount Aero Catch latches on the hood. The guys at All Speed created custom pockets for the intake plumbing. They created a pocket in the center for a emblem.

Paint has been selected and ordered and we will be spraying on Saturday. I plan to record that!

Thank to everyone for the awesome feedback over the last few months. It has kept us on our toes and identified several issues that we needed to address.

Enjoy!
